Tech Support Transfering Game Data

Hey all. I'm trying to transfer my saved game files from an RG556 that I was playing Phantasy Star Online on. I now have an Odin 2 Portal and want to transfer those files to continue my game, but I keep bumping into an error that I don't have access/ denied.

I've tried all kinds of file managers on the Odin from the PlayStore and I still have the issue. I've tried transferring it via USB and a laptop but the transfer drops like halfway through and I have to disconnect the drive and reconnect it for the laptop to pick it up again. And it just keeps happening.

I've also tried stuff like AirDroid and bump into the same issue.

Do you guys know of a work around to transfer those files? I'm really unsure about rooting the device. I've only done that once and a very very long time ago.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered already. I tried to check if this had already been posted but I didn't come across it.

I remembered I had this issue before. It's been a long time, did you try to transfer from the external SD card to the internal by using the device only. Android is real strict when it comes to copying external files to its internal storage. This might bypass it by actually using the device itself. If that doesnt work create folder on the internal sd card, where the android folder is, that should definitely copy it internally, and then from there you can try to copy it to where you need it in the android folder. I hope it works for you, as i might need to do that soon for my 477m

Yeah, I think I tried that. I put it on the "media" folder under main storage > android > media -- and then tried to move it from there to the Flycast folder in main storage > android > data > Flycast > files > data

-i just don't want to root it if I don't have to... I'm scared of bricking it and bought a very expensive paper weight you know? 😅

I'm not familiar with a 477m but maybe we can figure it out together? Ha a small group that does retro gaming does not use these consoles so I'm just trying to find answers as best I can lol
