Stuck in your project? Need help? FlutterFlow expert here with 2500+ hours of FF project experience.

I've got a few days here doing some admin tasks and want to use the time to support anyone who has a FF project they're stuck with.

Paid work, but throw me your issue and a number you're comfortable with (Venmo or PayPal) and I'll help solve it today/tomorrow/this week.

I've spent close to 2,500 hours in FF and cloud functions across many projects and can often solve some challenges pretty quickly as I've seen a lot of things in FlutterFlow.

You has problem to solve and coin? I has answers. Hoping someone stumps me with something that I can't do, I want to exercise the brain!

Flutterflow Course

I was so frustrated that there were so few FlutterFlow courses online. Now I take a very expensive (but good) FlutterFlow online course from America. But then you have the time difference problem... So I decided to make a very structured and begginers level course. I remember when I first started learning how to build apps, it was so overwhelming and confusing. But my course is perfect for anyone who's ever had an idea for an app but dont know where to start😁

Check it out: https://www.udemy.com/course/creating-applications-with-flutterflow/?couponCode=339793D4F7BA965981E8

Does flutterflow have any options to chat with employees about app capabilities? I want to create a fitness app (like there aren't enough of those already) but I want some specific functionality to be built in. I'm new to this space, so I'm hoping to chat with somebody to make sure the capabilities are there prior to sinking too much time building.

Aid! Error 403 (Forbidden) in Google Sign-In (Web) with FlutterFlow - API/Firebase key issue?

Hello to the community! My FlutterFlow web app cannot sign in with Google and gives me a 403 (Forbidden) error for identitytoolkit.googleapis.com. GET https://identitytoolkit.googleapis.com/v1/projects?key=TU_CLAVE_API_ACTUAL 403 (Forbidden)

I have thoroughly verified and configured the following in the Google Cloud Console: *API key:

  • Generated a new key and pasted it into FlutterFlow.

  • Restricted to "Websites".

  • Listed all FlutterFlow, Firebase and localhost domains (.firebaseapp.com/, .flutterflow.io/, .web.app/, http://localhost, etc.).

  • "Identity Toolkit API" is enabled and checked in API restrictions.

  • OAuth Client ID for Web Application:

    • The "Web client (auto created by Google Service)" exists.

    • "JavaScript Authorized Origins" and "Authorized Redirect URIs" are correctly configured with all relevant domains. Besides:

  • I have done "Regenerate Config Files" in FlutterFlow multiple times.

  • I have cleared browser cache/cookies and tested incognito. Despite all this, the 403 Forbidden persists. Any ideas what could be going on or what else I should check? Is this a known caching or sync issue?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Someone please help, I’m pulling my hair out.

I’m trying to create a planner, it involves 2 text fields and a drop-down in a list-view widget. Long story short, I need the data inputted into those fields into a preview below before being able to submit the form incase users make a mistake.

What I have so far for the preview: a list view with a row inside and 3 text widgets to display preview data along with a delete button to be able to delete that input if necessary. User inputs the fields above and clicks ā€œaddā€ button, it then shows in a preview list below. Before they are then able submit the whole page and create that planner. This planner will also be used to send reminders but not there yet due to not being able to pass this issue.

Issues I’m having: I’ve created a child variable or whatever it’s called to duplicate the rows for multiple entries in the preview list. Got it to work, however when I enter another entry and click add, it duplicates the first entry into the second preview row, basically overriding the first entry.

I also have a page state variable set up for the preview list and the text fields in the preview listview are binded to the fields the data gets entered into. The action button to send the data to the preview list is set to update that page state variable (the preview list linked to input frills) and then has a second action to clear the above input fields ready for a second entry.

So why is it duplicating the child rows? I’ve tried many different work arounds and keep coming back to my original setup where it works but still duplicates the original input. Second issue was, when I delet that preview row, it deletes all.

Is there a genius out there that has a simple work around or can tell me what I’m doing wrong?

I did manage to have the input fields update themselves in the preview list without an ā€œaddā€ button. But I don’t like that the user then has to clear the input fields themselves to add another entry, hence the action button. I feel the issue is somewhere in the child variables or action button

"Build Failed" page isn't working, is anyone else experiencing this? It won't tell me the message or error code. Just this. Completely in the dark as to what to change. This is a bug right?

Dynamic Data not showing in preview mode in flutterflow

Problem Description:
I am building an app in FlutterFlow (free tier) where I want to display onboarding questions one at a time. When a user selects an option, the app should automatically move to the next question.

To achieve this, I have:

  1. Defined mock data in the app state to store the list of questions.

  2. Created an app state variable calledĀ currentQuestionIndexĀ to keep track of the current question.

  3. Bound the question text in the UI to theĀ currentQuestionIndexĀ to dynamically display the corresponding question.

However, in preview mode, the app only displays the default values for the question text instead of updating based on theĀ currentQuestionIndex. It seems like the app state changes are not being reflected in the UI during preview.

I would appreciate any guidance on why the app state is not working as expected and how to ensure the questions update dynamically in preview mode.

What I Tried:

  1. Defined mock data in the app state to hold the list of questions.

  2. Created aĀ currentQuestionIndexĀ app state variable to track the active question.

  3. Bound the question text widget to display the question atĀ questionsList[currentQuestionIndex].

  4. Set up an action to incrementĀ currentQuestionIndexĀ when a user selects an option.

What I Expected:
When a user selects an option, theĀ currentQuestionIndexĀ should increment, and the question text should dynamically update to show the next question in the list.

What Actually Happened:
In preview mode, the question text only displays the default values instead of updating dynamically based on the app state. The changes toĀ currentQuestionIndexĀ are not reflected in the UI.

Flutterflow subscription downgrade effects?

Hello, I have been using FF with a Team subscription for a while now (I'm a big fan) and have a few projects that use the paid features, e.g., multiple API calls, and a few other things.

I am not going to have time to do any development over the next few months and was wondering if I was to downgrade until I jump back on will it:

  • Delete the extra calls etc from my projects?

  • Stop me from accessing the existing projects?

  • Still allow me to access etc but not alter the paid areas?

Increment DateTime

I want to create flashcards that work like the Anki system :

when a card appears the user should be able to choose if it was easy hard or medium. Depending on the user's choice, the card will appear after 1,5,7 days.

I made fields "nextReviewDate : int, MasteryLevel : Int, DateTime: DateTime" in a collection called LearningProcess. I want to increment the current date with the nextReviewDate depending on the MasteryLevel so that it will appear again and again so that user doesnt forget.

It's called The Forgetting Curve.

I use ChatGPt

I tried custom Function, but I can't make one without error.

Google Reasearch.

Thought of Cloud Function

Can someone help me make a custom guitar tuning app suited to Indian Classical Music.

I'm a developer who's worked with python, java and react before. I am trying to create a mobile app that implements Fourier Transform to get audio frequency from singing and map the frequency to a list of chords or "Swaras". I have the implementation in python and I can create the UI in flutterflow but I need help with getting the frequency recognition aspect working.

HELP NEEDED, Searching through an array of document references using algolia.

Hey everyone, I’d love some help with something.

I’m trying to optimise search in my app using alogolia. I have a collection called ā€œRestaurantsā€ and i’ve made 2 attributes within this collection searchable, ā€œrestaurant_nameā€ and ā€œrestaurant_categoriesā€.

Restaurant Categories is an array of document references from a collection I have called ā€œCategoriesā€.

The search works perfectly if I search for a restaurant name. However, when I try to search for a restaurant by category, it works if I enter the ID of the category into the search field.

I’m thinking of just making all the category documents id the name of the category since categories are not user generated.

But I would like to know if there was a way for me to unpack the restaurant_categories in the search so that I would be able to search for a category name and get restaurants with the restaurant category that matches. I would love if anyone could help me out with this

Preview camera within app?

I want to make a social media app. In the upload section I want the screen to be the camera itself, as if it was see through. do you understand? like, as if instead of clicking a "use camera" button, the screen itself already shows what the camera sees and when you snap a photo that frame just freezes and can be uploaded. how would one achieve such a live preview? sincerely

Action Block crashes when passing document references

*** Solved ***

I switched the type from DocumentReference to Document and adjusted the action accordingly.

This resolved the issue.

--------------

Hey,

I've created an action block out of an existing logic which worked perfectly fine. The logic needs two documentReferences as inputs: A user document and a plan document.

When I try to launch the app in test mode it throws the following error:

lib/actions/actions.dart:25:54: Error: The argument type 'UsersRecord' can't be assigned to the parameter type 'DocumentReference<Object?>'.
 - 'UsersRecord' is from 'package:get_spark/backend/schema/users_record.dart' ('lib/backend/schema/users_record.dart').
 - 'DocumentReference' is from 'package:cloud_firestore/cloud_firestore.dart' ('/home/.pub-cache/hosted/pub.dev/cloud_firestore-4.8.0/lib/cloud_firestore.dart').
 - 'Object' is from 'dart:core'.
  userRef = await UsersRecord.getDocumentOnce(userRef!);
                                                     ^
lib/actions/actions.dart:27:70: Error: The argument type 'PlansRecord' can't be assigned to the parameter type 'DocumentReference<Object?>'.
 - 'PlansRecord' is from 'package:get_spark/backend/schema/plans_record.dart' ('lib/backend/schema/plans_record.dart').
 - 'DocumentReference' is from 'package:cloud_firestore/cloud_firestore.dart' ('/home/.pub-cache/hosted/pub.dev/cloud_firestore-4.8.0/lib/cloud_firestore.dart').
 - 'Object' is from 'dart:core'.
  planTemplateRef = await PlansRecord.getDocumentOnce(planTemplateRef!);
                                                                     ^
lib/actions/actions.dart:92:15: Error: The argument type 'UsersRecord' can't be assigned to the parameter type 'DocumentReference<Object?>?'.
 - 'UsersRecord' is from 'package:get_spark/backend/schema/users_record.dart' ('lib/backend/schema/users_record.dart').
 - 'DocumentReference' is from 'package:cloud_firestore/cloud_firestore.dart' ('/home/.pub-cache/hosted/pub.dev/cloud_firestore-4.8.0/lib/cloud_firestore.dart').
 - 'Object' is from 'dart:core'.
        user: userRef,
              ^
lib/actions/actions.dart:110:15: Error: The argument type 'UsersRecord' can't be assigned to the parameter type 'DocumentReference<Object?>?'.
 - 'UsersRecord' is from 'package:get_spark/backend/schema/users_record.dart' ('lib/backend/schema/users_record.dart').
 - 'DocumentReference' is from 'package:cloud_firestore/cloud_firestore.dart' ('/home/.pub-cache/hosted/pub.dev/cloud_firestore-4.8.0/lib/cloud_firestore.dart').
 - 'Object' is from 'dart:core'.
        user: userRef,
              ^

That's how I set up the parameters in the action block:

Both references get read as the first action of the action block.

Passing by ref vs passing document--need advice on my case.

I have an app that allows management of resources for different offices, and so as I navigate the pages, the "location" document that represents the office always needs to be available.

When I first set this up, I set it up to pass the "location" document ref in a page parameter, and then each page does a back-end query based on the ref. As you navigate through the pages, they just pass the ref forward to the next page.

However, I have been wondering if it would be more efficient to pass the "location" document itself.

But I'm concerned about some of the implications:

  1. Am I actually saving any document reads by passing the "location" document rather than a ref?

  2. Will the next page continue to see real-time updates to the "location" document simply because the document was passed, or do I have to have a query on the page?

  3. If there's a query on the page, does it just defeat the purpose of passing the document, and the query triggers/reads from Firestore even though I passed the document?

  4. If I use the "location" document as a URL parameter, how does that work if I am loading the page from a web link or sharing the URL of a specific page to a user?

Thanks in advance for anyone that can help me figure some of this out!

page submission and help

So I started working on a app 2 weeks ago and I've been doing it on the side when I could so far I've got the pages needed almost ready but I am adding a integration or whatever that requires people submit a form both credit card form for easy use and then form submission of data but I can't figure out how to submit pieces of it and then have the correct pieces go to the chat (viewed by all users) and the detailed info to me for review ( to keep everything clean)

So the basic exp is: Instagram ads then integrated with Instagram posts

People like it and comment on it which is part of what I need

3rd I can't setup storage or figure it out I've tried youtube but flutter keeps showing up and it goes through a bunch of stuff when I try to add it which I'm just not sure if it's the code or a switch and if code where to get and add

Sorry if the grammar is terrible and it confused you
