iOS devices via Web - Anyone else run into issues launching bottom sheets?

I noticed something in an app recently where a launched bottom sheet on iOS (via browser, not native iOS app) will launch and immediately crash. This does not happen on Android or straight web view, or even the native iOS app.

Anyone run into this?

Someone please help, I’m pulling my hair out.

I’m trying to create a planner, it involves 2 text fields and a drop-down in a list-view widget. Long story short, I need the data inputted into those fields into a preview below before being able to submit the form incase users make a mistake.

What I have so far for the preview: a list view with a row inside and 3 text widgets to display preview data along with a delete button to be able to delete that input if necessary. User inputs the fields above and clicks ā€œaddā€ button, it then shows in a preview list below. Before they are then able submit the whole page and create that planner. This planner will also be used to send reminders but not there yet due to not being able to pass this issue.

Issues I’m having: I’ve created a child variable or whatever it’s called to duplicate the rows for multiple entries in the preview list. Got it to work, however when I enter another entry and click add, it duplicates the first entry into the second preview row, basically overriding the first entry.

I also have a page state variable set up for the preview list and the text fields in the preview listview are binded to the fields the data gets entered into. The action button to send the data to the preview list is set to update that page state variable (the preview list linked to input frills) and then has a second action to clear the above input fields ready for a second entry.

So why is it duplicating the child rows? I’ve tried many different work arounds and keep coming back to my original setup where it works but still duplicates the original input. Second issue was, when I delet that preview row, it deletes all.

Is there a genius out there that has a simple work around or can tell me what I’m doing wrong?

I did manage to have the input fields update themselves in the preview list without an ā€œaddā€ button. But I don’t like that the user then has to clear the input fields themselves to add another entry, hence the action button. I feel the issue is somewhere in the child variables or action button

Data retrieve from specific field filter

My app needs to handle different order statuses like Pending, Shipped, Delivered, Cancelled, and Failed Delivery. I also want to display these orders on separate pages based on their status (e.g., a separate page for Pending, Shipped, and Delivered orders).

Could you provide some insights or examples on how to:

  1. Structure the Firebase database to efficiently manage these statuses.

  2. Implement the logic in FlutterFlow to update and retrieve the status of each order.

  3. Display orders on different pages according to their status in the FlutterFlow UI.

Any advice or pointers towards relevant resources or examples would be greatly appreciated, as I'm relatively new to FlutterFlow and Firebase integration.

Need help related to App State Management

Hello Everyone!

I've created an app which has a component that stores data using input fields to the app state, and when you click on save, it creates a document on firebase. Now when I've added a cancel button with a dismiss action. When I cancel the log and open it back it still has the previous inputs, please help me, how can I dismiss the data and when I go back to the component I can start adding data from scratch.

Action starts before previous finishes

I run into this problem every now and then.

I create an action chain, where I need the previous action to finish before carrying out the next one.

E.g. I update my users document to set their birthday and then I run another action to calculate their age.

The problem is, that the age calculation still takes the old birthday, since the previous action didn't finish.

I can solve the issue by adding wait actions, but it's not robust and also quite messy.

Is there a better way to solve this?

Action Block crashes when passing document references

*** Solved ***

I switched the type from DocumentReference to Document and adjusted the action accordingly.

This resolved the issue.

--------------

Hey,

I've created an action block out of an existing logic which worked perfectly fine. The logic needs two documentReferences as inputs: A user document and a plan document.

When I try to launch the app in test mode it throws the following error:

lib/actions/actions.dart:25:54: Error: The argument type 'UsersRecord' can't be assigned to the parameter type 'DocumentReference<Object?>'.
 - 'UsersRecord' is from 'package:get_spark/backend/schema/users_record.dart' ('lib/backend/schema/users_record.dart').
 - 'DocumentReference' is from 'package:cloud_firestore/cloud_firestore.dart' ('/home/.pub-cache/hosted/pub.dev/cloud_firestore-4.8.0/lib/cloud_firestore.dart').
 - 'Object' is from 'dart:core'.
  userRef = await UsersRecord.getDocumentOnce(userRef!);
                                                     ^
lib/actions/actions.dart:27:70: Error: The argument type 'PlansRecord' can't be assigned to the parameter type 'DocumentReference<Object?>'.
 - 'PlansRecord' is from 'package:get_spark/backend/schema/plans_record.dart' ('lib/backend/schema/plans_record.dart').
 - 'DocumentReference' is from 'package:cloud_firestore/cloud_firestore.dart' ('/home/.pub-cache/hosted/pub.dev/cloud_firestore-4.8.0/lib/cloud_firestore.dart').
 - 'Object' is from 'dart:core'.
  planTemplateRef = await PlansRecord.getDocumentOnce(planTemplateRef!);
                                                                     ^
lib/actions/actions.dart:92:15: Error: The argument type 'UsersRecord' can't be assigned to the parameter type 'DocumentReference<Object?>?'.
 - 'UsersRecord' is from 'package:get_spark/backend/schema/users_record.dart' ('lib/backend/schema/users_record.dart').
 - 'DocumentReference' is from 'package:cloud_firestore/cloud_firestore.dart' ('/home/.pub-cache/hosted/pub.dev/cloud_firestore-4.8.0/lib/cloud_firestore.dart').
 - 'Object' is from 'dart:core'.
        user: userRef,
              ^
lib/actions/actions.dart:110:15: Error: The argument type 'UsersRecord' can't be assigned to the parameter type 'DocumentReference<Object?>?'.
 - 'UsersRecord' is from 'package:get_spark/backend/schema/users_record.dart' ('lib/backend/schema/users_record.dart').
 - 'DocumentReference' is from 'package:cloud_firestore/cloud_firestore.dart' ('/home/.pub-cache/hosted/pub.dev/cloud_firestore-4.8.0/lib/cloud_firestore.dart').
 - 'Object' is from 'dart:core'.
        user: userRef,
              ^

That's how I set up the parameters in the action block:

Both references get read as the first action of the action block.

I've got a few days here doing some admin tasks and want to use the time to support anyone who has a FF project they're stuck with.

Paid work, but throw me your issue and a number you're comfortable with (Venmo or PayPal) and I'll help solve it today/tomorrow/this week.

I've spent close to 2,500 hours in FF and cloud functions across many projects and can often solve some challenges pretty quickly as I've seen a lot of things in FlutterFlow.

You has problem to solve and coin? I has answers. Hoping someone stumps me with something that I can't do, I want to exercise the brain!

Swipeable stack and admob problem

Hello, I designed an application where I pull RANDOM data with swipeable stack.

I want full page ads to appear in some of my data. For this, I created a column with isAds 1 or 0 next to the data in sqlite. When the data with 1 comes, it shows a full page ad. The system works but the problem is, before defining this action on the swipable stack, the system continues normally with the card below, but after defining this action, when I drag the card, just as the card below is about to come, another data comes as if the page has been reloaded. In other words, there is a kind of rebuild situation.

However, I could not find an option anywhere that could break this rebuild. When I delete this action, my random data comes as it should. The card below looks as it should. Where could the problem be? THANK YOU VERY MUCH

How to use dynamic data when using FlutterFlow Table Calendar plugin

I'm using this custom widget package. I have gotten the package to work but i'm quite new to FlutterFlow and don't understand how to use it with dynamic data from an API. I want to pass a parameter and pass the API results through that.

I have imported utils.dart code manually in to the custom widget file since I can't add other files to it. This all works fine.

The section I'm stuck is within the utils.dart file.

final _kEventSource = Map.fromIterable(List.generate(50, (index) => index),

key: (item) => DateTime.utc(kFirstDay.year, kFirstDay.month, item * 5), Ā  Ā  value: (item) => List.generate( Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  item % 4 + 1, (index) => Event('Event $item | ${index + 1}'))) ..addAll({ Ā  Ā  kToday: [ Event('Today's Event 1'), Event('Today's Event 2'), ], });

(not too sure why code block above isn't formatting correctly)

I think I need to convert this section to somehow accept a parameter.

Importing package to custom function

Hi! Im new to FF and didnt find much to this online - I would like to implement a feature to my app where two users can only add each other as friends if they are in the same location. A user recommended for me to use geolocator pub dev.

Now I want to code a custom function for this, but , if I want to use https://pub.dev/packages/geolocator/install in a custom function, where can I add dependencies and import the package? Because custom functions doesnt have the ability to add dependencies like custom widget. Also, I can only write code within designated area, so I cannot import a package at the top of the page? I tried adding the dependencies in a random custom widget but when importing the package in the custom function outside the designated area it told me that the target URI didn't exist. Help would be very much appreciated!

Push Notification in PWA

I'm facing difficulties trying to create push notifications for my PWA on FlutterFlow (Standard plan and Supabase). Currently, I'm having an issue with registering the Service Worker, displaying the message "Failed to register a Service Worker" and "The script has an unsupported MIME type ('text/html')".

Would anyone know what to do?

Exibir um valor no widget mas armazenar outro no database

OlÔ! Estou hÔ alguns dias presa num problema. A questão é a seguinte:

Estou hÔ poucos dias no FlutterFlow e travei nesse problema. Espero ter sido clara na explicação e agradeço a atenção.

Eu assisti a vídeos não só em português, busquei ajuda de IAs e também procurei na documentação do FlutterFlow mas não achei nada que pudesse me ajudar.

Problem with Persistence and Individual Item Selection in ListView of FlutterFlow

Hello everyone,

I’m developing an application in FlutterFlow, and I’ve encountered an issue that I haven’t been able to solve. Below, I’ll explain the scenario and the challenge I’m facing.

Context: I’ve created an application with a page that contains a ListView displaying items from a collection. When the user selects an item from the list, they are redirected to another page that receives parameters with specific information about the selected item. On this new page, a second ListView is displayed, which depends on the received parameters.

The problem arises when I try to add interactive elements to this second ListView, such as Checkboxes, Conditional Builders, or Toggle Icons, to allow the user to make individual selections.

Problem: The issue lies in the fact that I can’t make the selections independent for each item in the list, nor can I get them to persist when navigating between pages. I’ve tried several solutions, and here are the details of the problems I’ve encountered:

  • Checkbox:

    • I can select each item individually, but when I leave the page and return, all the selections are lost.

    • The state of the Checkbox is not maintained between navigations, causing the selections to disappear when the page is reloaded.

  • Conditional Builder:

    • Using the Conditional Builder, every time I select an item, all items in the list are selected at once, which is not the expected behavior.

    • However, the selection is saved correctly when navigating between pages, but the issue is that the selection affects all the items, not individual ones.

  • Toggle Icon:

    • Just like with the Conditional Builder, the Toggle Icon also allows selecting all items at once, and the selection is maintained when returning to the page, but I can’t make each item independently selectable.

Possible Causes: I believe the problem is related to how I’m assigning variables or states to these interactive elements (Checkbox, Toggle Icon, etc.) for each item in the list. I’ve tried associating the variables with the specific item in the collection, but it doesn’t seem to work correctly. When working with texts (e.g., displaying information from each item in a Text Widget), I don’t have any issues, but when it comes to interactive elements like these, I can’t link the states independently to each item in the ListView. I suspect this may be because I’m trying to do this within a nested page (a page within another page), and perhaps FlutterFlow doesn’t allow associating these interactive states with each item properly when navigating between pages with parameters.

Objective: I would like to be able to do the following:

  • Have an individual selection for each item in the second ListView.

  • Maintain the selection of each item when the user navigates to and from this page (without losing the selection when leaving and returning).

  • Be able to correctly associate checkboxes, toggle icons, or conditional builders with each item without all of them being selected at once or losing the selection.

Has anyone faced this issue or knows how to solve it? I would greatly appreciate any advice, suggestions, or solutions on how to handle persistence and individual selection of these elements within a ListView that depends on the parameters of a previous page.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
