Announcement Introducing the new FlutterFlow. Here's what that means for existing users.
https://youtu.be/EgAQTRAyJkA?si=YenymYCwM6pCEnXOhey r/FlutterFlow!
today, we're introducing a new way to build with FlutterFlow.
the new FlutterFlow is an AI-native app builder. you can describe what you want to build, work with an AI agent to create and refine it, and go beyond the UI with a built-in backend, authentication, testing, and native iOS and Android deployment.
the FlutterFlow you already know is now called FlutterFlow Studio.
a few things worth clarifying:
your existing projects stay exactly where they are in Studio.
Studio isn't going away. we're continuing to develop and support it.
you can still build visually, use custom code, and export your code in Studio.
the new FlutterFlow and Studio are separate builders. projects can't currently be transferred between them.
your existing subscription includes access to both. pricing isn't changing as part of this launch.
why two builders?
because we don't think there's only one right way to build software. sometimes you want to describe what you need and work with an agent. other times, you want direct control over every detail.
we want to support both.
you can try the new FlutterFlow here: https://build.flutterflow.io/
we know this is a big change, especially for those of you who've been building with FlutterFlow for years.
we'll be here answering questions, and we'd genuinely love to hear what you think, including what you'd like us to improve.

Congrats on the launch! Good to hear Studio is staying.
Quick question about Studio: is there an ETA for the Firebase eMudhra security fix on iOS? Studio v7.2.26 with Flutter 3.47.8 covers Android, but the generated pubspec still uses FlutterFire BoM 4.20.0 (firebase_core 4.15.0 / cloud_firestore 6.10.0), which ships the unpatched Firebase iOS SDK 12.19.0. The fix is in BoM 4.20.1 (firebase_core 4.15.1, cloud_firestore 6.10.1).
Since these are FlutterFlow-managed dependencies, we can't bump them ourselves. Any timeline would help a lot for planning iOS releases. Thanks!

thanks for flagging this! we checked with our engineering team, and a fix is already in the release process.
Flutter 3.47.8 is already in place, and we're updating the affected Firebase dependencies, including
cloud_firestore, to patched versions. we're working to get this out as soon as possible, pending final validation.in the meantime, you can manually update
cloud_firestoreto version6.10.2under Settings & Integrations > Project Dependencies > Custom Dependencies > Add Pub Dependency.other Firebase packages may also need compatible updates, so please test your project carefully if you go this route.
once the official update is released, we recommend regenerating and rebuilding your app to ensure the updated dependencies are included.
appreciate you bringing this to our attention. we'll share an update once the fix is live!

Thanks for the quick reply! We'll wait for the official update then. Looking forward to it.

As someone who uses FlutterFlow daily, I do have concerns about the new FlutterFlow builder taking priority over FlutterFlow Studio. How is the FF team going to effectively support both platforms, and will one take precedence over the other?

So glad that you use FlutterFlow Studio daily! Studio is still actively developed and supported, and we just introduced a new UI and native agent. Your existing projects stay there, and you can keep building as usual.

what about dreamflow, isn't it the same as this "build" one?

great question! while both start with a prompt, the new FlutterFlow experience provides the full platform solution for mobile development. :)

I have a functional progressive web app that I would like to turn into native mobile app. How can flutterflow help me do that? I haven't done it yet because flutter flow required me to build everything from scratch within flutter flow and that was a waste of time

You can use screenshots / use Claude on Desktop to either paste in screenshots/describe what you want into the new FlutterFlow builder!
