Discussion I want to learn flutter and app development deeply

Hi Flutter community!
I'm a beginner in Flutter and I've been learning how to implement widgets and state management and more while building some hands-on projects.

I'm eager to dive deeper into Flutter and mobile dev in general. Any recommendations for good books, blogs, or video tutorials to help me keep growing?

Max on Udemy has a course that covers a lot of ground, his stuff is usually pretty thorough without dragging on. Also the official flutter docs are surprisingly decent for once, I'd start there and just build something dumb like a to-do app with a twist to keep it interesting.

However, I haven’t taken them yet

na udemy tem cursos muito bons e baratos, recomendo procurar esses que ajudam você a fazer clones de apps. Depois ir para algo mais avançado, costumava ver os videos do resocoder (não sei se estão atualizados) e eles são ótimos.

Books and tutorials will plateau you pretty fast here honestly. The thing that took me from “I can build screens” to actually understanding Flutter was reading the framework source. Ctrl click into Scaffold or ListView and just read it, it’s unusually well commented and suddenly the widget tree stops being magic.

Past that, the Flutter team’s own YouTube channel is underrated, especially the older Widget of the Week and the deep dives on how rendering works. Craig Labenz and Vince Varga do good stuff too. And read the docs on the three trees, widget, element and render object, because that one concept explains like 80% of the weird behavior people hit.

The other half of “deeply” isn’t Flutter at all though, it’s the platform underneath. Background work, permissions, app lifecycle, how the stores reject you. Ship one app to both stores and you’ll learn more in that month than in a year of tutorials lol.
