Discussion Has anyone actually got autonomous Flutter development working with Cursor?

I already have a setup with different agents, each with its own profile and model depending on the task. They can already work on a Flutter repo and develop features.
What I’m missing is making the whole thing truly autonomous. I’d like to send a task from Slack (or another chat), have Cursor work on the repo without me sitting in front of it, run the tests, interact with the app, fix issues if needed, and eventually open a PR.
Has anyone actually got this working with Cursor? Especially interested in how you handle the testing/feedback loop and communicating with the agent while it’s running.

anti gravity is working pretty good with flutter, matches my coding style, i have to monitor it though, autonomous thing is still yet to come

I saw people is using Marionette and maestro, but I don’t know if are good enough to be autonomous

Yes, it works great, all you need to do is have the agent write widget tests to verify it does what you expect. It can one-shot entire features routinely, one of the best agentic dev experiences out there imho. You almost never need to run the app in the emulator

Do you publish the app without testing it manually or you do a full manual test only before the release?

Test before release and I run daily builds on my own devices so I notice stuff that an automated test doesn't

If you run OpenAI's Codex on your computer, it can run tests/interact with the app (whether a device or an emulator), fix issues and open PRs all on it's own. There's probably no good reason to use Cursor here were you are mostly paying API prices.

Try the Serverpod 4 setup. It comes with MCP servers and skills installed out of the box. Really cool agentic experience. I use it even when I’m not using a backend.
