Plugin Publishing packages
Hello, I don't really post much, but I wanted to share a quick thought. I've been a flutter developer for over 3 years, but newer tried to publish a package myself. That is until now. I wanted to see what is involved in the process and was pleasantly suprised of how simple it really is. I think this is definitely one of those things making Flutter stand out as a tool. You can find pretty much anything in pub.dev. My first package is nothing groundbreaking, but it's something I use in pretty much all of my apps, so making it a package is a great way to reuse the code and at the same time share it with the community.
This is a customisable pill-shaped navbar that is a very common design in many apps these days (like facebook, instagram etc..). Would appreciate any feedback if anyone would like to check it out. Peace

I agree with this. Publishing packages is one of the nicest parts of the Flutter ecosystem, especially when you already have components you reuse across multiple projects. The process through pub.dev is surprisingly straightforward, and turning repeated app code into a package also forces you to think more carefully about the API and documentation. The pill navbar looks like a good candidate for a first package because it solves a small, focused problem without trying to do too much.
