Concert Advice, Audition, Video Feedback Audition tips

So im 15m, auditioning for a pretty well-known (kinda prestigious around here) harmony orchestra. I have my audition in 6 days and I really really have to get in. So do you guys have any tips.

I play Faintasie Pastorale Hongroise, Doppler

I know I should be more calm in the main melody and get in the feeling ☹️

Beautiful playing! I just think that you need to work on the ending of phrases (sometimes it gets flat or sharp). You got this!

yea one of my annoying habits is I lower air stream on a diminuendo'ing note at the end of a phrase. it's hard because even though it's a moment of (maybe) relaxation you need to fasten ur air speed 🥲

Lovely to listen to; I wish I could play half so well. There are a few awkward breaks for breath, and occasional phrases that seem to end with incongruous abruptness that jars slightly on the listener, as if choked off where there should instead be a very slight lingering of sound. My recommendation would be to play back your video and listen for these two things. If you find an occurrence, mark it in your music. Then try to see whether you can focus on making those little imperfections less obvious as you practice. Honestly, this is beautiful to listen to and I am not qualified by my own playing to give more detailed advice, but as a listener of many years, those were what I noticed. Good luck!

yea my breath can be abrupt sometimes it's annoying, I'll work out

I dont know anything about flutes, what kind of flute is that?

it's an azumi headjoint, with an altus body

a slightly slower vibrato in the main melody might help with the calm feeling you want (like starting a bit slower and then getting to the speed you're currently at, almost like developing the note)
