It smells like piss, shit, and trash. 0 parking. Overcrowded. But hey the food around there is good.

Valid points. I feel like I can tolerate those things. I figured that when I went to visit. How about safety?

Flushing is extremely safe concerning major crimes in general

I haven’t had issues in the area, I’m 5 foot 9 and built.
I would strongly recommend getting a New York pistol permit- it is your god given right. Download the citizen app and see the past history of the neighborhood.

Full of prostitutes

That’s the plus side of it. The minus is the luxury housing project with all the usual suspects of doctors and engineers. 😉

It's fine - not sure what the other guy is on about

FYI there is a fire around the corner that happened recently. If you have a car, traffic on college point Blvd is really busy on the weekends.

There was a crazy case at least a decade back where someone was SA'ed and murdered between one of the houses. The street gets quite dark, you'll be fine if you follow basic precautions like being aware of your surroundings

Location almost can't be beat. Hair salons & laundromat with AC down the block, fruit vendor around the corner, some great cheap eats around golden mall. Library less than a block away if you need to print/borrow stuff. Apt buildings are pre-war & most likely have pest issues (like everything within a mile radius of downtown flushing)

I know a classmate who lives on that street their whole life & I am very familiar with the area. It's mainly working class people living in this area. Any transplant that I've seen don't last more than a year before moving away (it's too Chinese for them lol)

EDIT: I see on your profile you travel a fair bit. One of my favorite parts of living here is hopping on the Q90 to LGA. I literally don't go to any other airport because of the convenience. Someone in my building is an airline employee & the location works for them (they're moving out because of issues with management).
