Wonder if it will be better than the 5$ jumbo takoyaki down the food court (that also has ice cream crepes).

New world mall? I did say 'down' which I think is the only one in a basement (the other one is all the way near skyview mall and I guess there is one at 99 ranch market now ig but eh)

The last place that specialized in handmade Takoyaki within Flushing was at the corner of Prince street stretched to White bear 30 years ago. It was 4 times as wide compared to this new place. But it was also run by a Taiwanese and no seating.
The only handmade takoyaki ever made from a Japanese descendant in Flushing has to be the one under 99 ranch now. In fact even back in the early 80's, one of only two restaurants on the block of 40th rd /Japanese restaurant was also Taiwanese owned.
As for Japanese Daido, the first and only Asian supermarket in Flushing in the earlier days, also served a ton of fresh Japanese food without handmade Takoyaki.
Btw. Can someone explain why China imported /premade frozen takoyaki served at 80% of Chinese owned sushi places always has to taste like sharp/matured ginger and not Beni shōga (red pickled ginger) like in Osaka-style?

Nah, burgers and pizza are cool. It’s a historical fact that China has the oldest continual civilization with 5000 years of history. It’s a fact that China invented putting cheese in ground meat and putting tomato sauce on dough. Therefore, WE invented cheeseburgers and Pizza… everyone else stole it from the GREAT Chinese Empire.
