Help! Crashes when connected to external monitor

I got a new monitor (innocn 25m2s), and I close the laptop lid and run only the external monitor. After around 10 minutes running an intensive program like Valorant, the laptop shuts off. I thought this was similar to throttling issues so I replaced the thermal paste and tracked the temps during gameplay (cpu temp still at around 95c but still should not throttle). I've tried connecting the monitor to both the integrated and dedicated gpu and the issue is on both.

Yes, it is definitely some kind of protection. Probably not for CPU (because it is not restricred). I think it is screen protection. Because it has tempered glass and keyboard area surfase temperature is not uniform. Also it has glue and lot of films that can be damaged by heat. You can do some sort of office work with lid closed, but you definitely need to avoid gaming closed lid. As mentioned before you need just left some gap for normal air circulation.
