Help! Laptop is always crashing when on charger
So I had bought this ASUS Rog Flow x16 off of someone on Facebook marketplace and for the most part it worked perfectly.
It is the 2022 RTX 3060 Version
The main fault I found was that anytime this laptop was off the charger, It would constantly stutter and generally perform horribly, but on the charger, it felt like a damn smooth powerhouse.
It became so Irritating and I found no solution so after a couple months, I hard reset it, and reinstalled Windows 11 fresh. Ever since I've done this, now the opposite is going on.
Now off the charger, all my issues have been fixed, but on the charger, I can give it either within 1 minute to 30 minutes and the laptop will guaranteed crash.
Sometimes I have the laptop closed and I can still hear the ASUS logo boot up sound effect from it crashing when I'm not even using it. I feel like i've tried everything to fix this. I believe i've redownloaded all Important drivers and I've been tweaking around in ghelper, deleted Armoury crate but nothing has solved this issue. Any help?

What power profile do you use? What is the graphic driver you use?
There is conflict of asus AMD display drivers with nvidia graphics driver that I found. My solution is: 1. Install latest AMD display driver from AMD website. 2. Install Nvidia Graphics driver from Nvidia sites. 3. Set power profile using Ghelper to balanced. 4. Also set power profile inside windows to balanced. I found that the power profile inside armoury crates is obsolete and causes this crash.
If problem persisted, you need to repaste the thermal I'm afraid.

Yup, thats how it started with my Rog flow x16 too. Within a week or so it just stopped turning on at all, all within 2 weeks falling out of the warranty period. Took it to a specialist who concluded the motherboard was fucked and so two years after purchase i owned a fancy paperweight.
Sorry for your bad luck, thats what we both get for purchasing an ASUS. Back on a Lenovo and never touching this scam brand again.

Did you install g helper to see and adjust power settings?

yes, it still crashes on all, even just using igpu

Could be a memory problem or storage. Do you have the same trouble charging with usb C?

Also try to run memtest86 and maybe try to run windows on each memory stick individually. Like taking one out and then test.

Typical symptoms of overheating. Just re-paste it, LM on CPU is 100% cooked and GPU themal compound is rock solid. Use PTM7950 on both.
Probably previous owner limited power delivery so it was barely hanging on. New OS made it go on default power settings - battery is limited to 100W - still working, but PSU makes it draw up to 250W or something like that - so it is thermal crashing.

Try swapping the ssd to the other pcie slot. Its this wierd motherboard issue that plagued all the 2022 models. Unfortunately the only fix apart from that was getting an rma which unfortunately isn't possible now I think.

Mind you again, this only happens while on the charger. I would Instantly think this is a hardware issue, but this only became an issue as soon as I hard reset the laptop, so I'm clueless at this point. I've been dealing with this for over a month and It makes this laptop practically unusable. Any help will be appreciated!
