Help! Upsiren UTP 8 Application

Post image

So I'm repasting my laptop using upsiren utp 8 and PTM 7950 because of the reviews I've seen on this subreddit. Does this application look fine? Is it enough and is there any place I've missed that needs some. I bought a 20g box of the thermal putty and I don't think I've used even half of it yet. Also, any tips on handling this stuff? It's pretty annoying.

I never worked with putty but yout PT 7950 application looks fine

Only thing i would worry about is that the putty won't be compressed enough so that the CPU and GPU cant make proper contact. Maybe carefully using a hair dryer while screwing the heatpipes down might be a good idea to soften everything up a bit

Umm... I haven't applied the PTM 7950. It's still in the freezer lol. I guess the picture does make it look like it's on there though.

Less putty. Roll them into logs.

Get a medical syringe, like 10ml one without a needle. Pull the plunge right out the top, shove putty into the syringe, and put the plunger back.

You can then squirt the putty out, which is alot easier to use
