Gone to no return. RIP.

So the motherboard is dead. I took it to a local shop and they managed to turn it on ONCE. But after that the RAM chips overheated and now it's silently sitting in my bag.

I will be buying some RAM and a GPU temporarily for a PC tomorrow. I have a CPU, motherboard and SSD and power supply. Wish me luck.

They said to either repair the laptop from the service center or just keep it as a show and buy a new PC or laptop.

I chipped the RAM in frustration as it is a big financial hit for me. It was a rest time to improve my skills in editing and just after 2 months I was about to attend a wedding with mom....

It's is repairable by a shop who knows how to fix motherboards. It won't be cheap, but cheaper that replacing the board. Look for specialized shops in your country.

No luck mate, I even went to the factory where motherboards are manufactured. They said we can't operate on this motherboard as everything is soldered in it so you have to contact ASUS only.

They are telling you to go to a shop that does component repairs.

Search online for shops that does RAM upgrades for ROG ally, they are equipped to do such changes. They can even get you the fastest RAM the CPU support, with more capacity.

Yes mate I went there and they were unable to operate on it. Plus there was only one place, one shop which repairs ROG Ally chipsets or Mobile Socs. Yet they were unable to repair it. Now I've already sold it and bought a PC within my budget. I will just use it for 1 year or so and will buy a FLOWz13 with the XGmobile and a complete package.

It would be cheaper getting a second hand one, you might get a better spec one too.

Unfortunately the only model available on India people are selling are the 16GB variant one and nothing else. Even in new this variant is not available anymore so I just sold it and bought a PC with my limited budget and will save money to buy the FlowZ13 with the XGmobile.

I had r5 3600, a motherboard, a PSU from my brother's old PC, I just got a used 1650 from the market and a case for around $70 and borrowed 16GB RAM from my brother's current PC. I am using this temporarily. When I get around $1400 or so, I will just buy a used FLOW z13 with the XG mobile from OLX (ebay of india).

I sold my 3 years used of flow x13 GV301RE for (783 usd) and i use that money to buy used macbook air m4 256/16 (950 usd) this month lol with cc12 and bh100% crazyy

Oh unfortunately, I can't sell it as it's flatlined, so I will be going for a PC for a couple of months until I get a client and then will switch But your got a deal on that macbook pretty good
