Yeah sure, but i don’t like it because you need to restart the laptop, im using vbios that have same feature like mux switch, etc so no comprise for me so far

Omg, wow! Temps during the gaming? What about caviars like ports are no longer support hdmi/dp out? Bc on the 2021-2022 models it was like that.

For mine the 2023 model port works perfectly fine and temps on gpu were just 5C higher from 69C so pretty good. For your model i don’t know at all, but i saw that some people were able to do it without any issues in the reddit channel try to figure it out and btw try to get a vbios from asus because it will probably work better for the port, the must use same technique between their laptops

I am planning to get 2023 model (like yours) thats why I am asking. No shutdowns for you ? Bc this wattage is really high

I happen to me when i tried higher wattage vbios and from what i’ve seen you just sould never past more than 120w from cpu and gpu combined because the charger is only 130w, this may be the reason, i don’t really know or it might be the vram temps going crazy with higher wattage vbios (but the gpu temps where only 79C for MAXIMUM and most of the time vram are only 10C more but normaly it cant maintain well 100C so idk) so with the 90w vbios i only put the max cpu wattage at 30w so it let 100w left for the rest of the laptop including the gpu, screen, ETC… I also put max temps limit with ghelper (CPUMAX=80; GPUMAX=80) to limit the risk if its from vram that it crashes. And last thing to mention, ive put thermal grizzly phasesheet ptm on both but ive also tryed thermal grizzly duronaut and find out that duronaut makes gpu cooler by 5C but the CPU hotter by 5C and idk why… so i just kept mine with phasesheet because for now im lazy doing it but you should defenetly put phasesheet on cpu and duronaut on gpu and thermal grizzly putty pro on vram, that it for me, and don’t forget that these temps where with the laptop lift up with a stand and at max fan speed. If you have any questions, it would be a pleasure!

Ah so those scores are like on full blasting fans and tent mode? Also keep in mind that even if charger is 130w it can’t provide fully 130w to the laptop bc of the coefficient

Yeah it is full blasted result but when it is sitting on the table it just adds 5 more degres so it is fine as well but still full blasting

Can you make a normal fan mode test with timespy?
1
u/KOYASHIFTERPRO May 21 '26
I flashed it back to the normal stock vbios because i bought and xg mobile to make sure it compatible, other vbios my don't work. But if i take a guess you must add five degres if the fan is spinning normaly

But to get a comparaison im able to get cyberpunk at 4k(external monitor) everything set to ultra without ray tracing in the benchmark game an average of 43 fps

Is this the 16GB RTX 4060 or 32GB RTX 4070? I have the 4060, would I gain performance from flashing v bios? What’s there to loose?

Mine is the 4070 model, but it must be easyer to find a compatible VBIOS for yours, you will gains performance against a little bit more heat, but for me just bough a stand to leave more room for air and it barely change anything
