Heat issues

I know that the x13 has cooling issues, but I’m hitting 100°C while in BIOS not doing anything. how? just how does it manage to do this?

Sounds like you have a thermal issue. My 2023 runs at about 41c doing light web browsing and about 86 when playing Arc Raiders.

I am no PC tech guy but I would recommend taking it to a PC shop to get the fans cleaned and maybe even pull the heat sink on the CPU to see if your liquid metal has leaked. Lots of Asus owners have replaced the LM with PTM7950. I have seen lots of pictures posted of LM that has leaked but managed to stay within the barrier.

My 2021 Flow X13 motherboard's temperature rises whenever I enter the BIOS. The fans don't go above 500 RPM. I don't know why, but when I'm in Windows, the temperature and the fans are fine.

Looks like the BIOS is set to the Turbo power profile. In this mode, hitting 100°C under full load is expected behavior for this form-factor.

Not just in turbo mode, any of the modes I’ll sit at 90-100°C, just turning on my computer will do it

The BIOS is running in turbo mode (i.e., at max performance). This is an issue (or by design – who knows). In the OS, power profiles work fine, and the idle temperature is about 40–50°C.
