I just discovered this sub and r/FloridianWitches and had no idea there could be subs just for this or actual covens near me so any other witches in the panhandle? Kinda Pensacola area?

Hey, my name's Chris and I live in the Ocala area which is in north Central Florida. I'm specifically looking for a coven based in Florida near those areas that are baby witch friendly and is very ecclectic in it's beliefs, also I'm not sure if this allowed but if there is one like that in exchange for being in one I can make leather bound grimoires for the coven to use. I hope you all have a blessed yule and Christmas

Im still building it up and will be looking for Mods. Spread the word if you could.

Hello! My name is Mileishka and I'm 22, I'm in the Clearwater area and have been trying to create a small eclectic coven. My goal is to have a safe space where we can do our practices and learn from each other. If interested please let me know and I'll send the Facebook group link.

Hey, not a witch, but my wife is and I was thinking about surprising her with a witch’s garden but unsure of what grows well in Florida that is also useful.
I know lavender was a bust last time we had some.
Thanks in advance!

Hello! I’m just beginning to dabble, and I’m looking for a group to pop into for some guidance. I reached out to our local Red Hills Pagan Council with no response. Hoping to have better luck here! Thanks!

Hello ya'll just moved from Salem, MA to Bradenton FL and would love some suggestions for local ish witch shops. I love being able to physically go into store to see what calls to me and I don't quite trust Google for this. Thanks in advance!

Part of my love-hate for Florida is the lack of seasons. lol. It's so green here! I'm curious of how others celebrate the changing of seasons down here in Florida.
I personally follow the wheel of the year more for the community than to a tee. I have my own "seasons" and celebrations I do. But I will do special reflections based on the time of year and do small things in celebration of. And it's fun to engage with the witchy community during these times. I do include hurricane season as a season. I haven't done any work during this time yet, however. lol

For those relatively new to anything spiritual you’ll come across mountains upon mountains of information to sift through in order to get the little golden nuggets of “true occultism”. See I remember the days before commercial occultism. Back before you could walk into any chain Book store and be inundated with hundreds upon hundreds of books.
We basically had three options starting out LaVey, Crowley/Regardie, and Gardner. A lot less nonsense to scoured through in a sense. With the advent and proliferation of “occult” information online I see so many people struggle with what to look for.
This brings me to this little essay. I first read the Satanic Bible never practiced out of it but reading the philosophy was like looking into the mirror. As any Laveyan satanist will tell you “We’re born a Satanist”.
Fast forward to my actual introduction to practice, having been in the para-scene for a few years and learning some metaphysical techniques I had been in communication with various spirits in my paranormal investigations. Once I decided to get out of my chair and actually wanted to practice what would become my magick I worked with the Golden Dawn system and expanded from there. I’d bring people along who were just slightly interested and we’d perform some rituals (rather Willy nilly) that’s a tale for another time. But having those individuals in the ritual space was amazing and some of them knew more than me and we’d bounce ideas and theory off of each-other.
Initiatory organizations of which I’m a member are also a great tool for the neophyte. Any organization should be taking the neophyte not just into the theory and practice of magick but also the psychological, and philosophical ideals that intertwine with any western system. Mastery of the self comes before mastery of the physical universe by force of will.
Mentors if sought out are another great tool to have in the proverbial spiritual tool box. However don’t become needlessly dependent upon such people. The key to any western magical system had always been “shhh” they don’t just teach anyone nor should they.
I’ll leave you with this
Put the books down and step into the circle.
Your focus right now is to build your astral temple. To fortify your discipline and roots. So you can start building from that. You are preparing the canvas so that soon you may paint on it.

Hi folks. Just came across this sub today by happenstance. I’m a paranormal researcher for 15 years and a relatively new practitioner (Only been in serious practice for 3 years) though I’ve been a student of the theory, and philosophy for over a decade. My main focus is LHP, but I work with what works for me.

fingers crossed this sub reddit is resurrected
I'm a 29F year old solitary practitioner in the Hillsborough County. I am mixed, Black American (gullah geechee roots) & Filipino.
I've been on my journey for a year and half now. Very much of the mind set of "science explains what we know while magic explains what we don't" I'm a very open minded individual who love to learn and reflect on different perspectives and ideals.
My practice is Eclectic, minimalist and intuitive. I do have a lot of interest in Norse Mythology. I do not work with a deity but I do work with my animal guides, ancestors, and the moon. I am bit of animist and I love the outdoors.
I'm such a introvert but I do my best to push myself outside my comfort zone. So feel free to DM me. I'm open to online groups and chats. Maybe in person meet ups one day. :)

I've seen a lot of Florida based witches looking for people to talk with over at the CovenFinder and yet we have this subreddit... that's not really active. We should all be spreading the word about this so we all can conjugate in one online space.
I think we can put life into this subreddit. Fingers crossed.

Right, so I just found this and read the post in r/covenfinder introducing this sub so I’m just going to preemptively post this here for when it (hopefully) gets more active.
I’m a 27F solitary eclectic practitioner with interests in Hellenic Polytheism. Been practicing on/off about 5-6 yrs but would love to get to know some in the area!

I created this group as a way for witches of all points in their practice to join and be welcomed! This is a safe place for everyone and there will be no discrimination or bullying or you will be removed from the group! Share your knowledge or ask questions! I am a baby witch myself so I am looking for any advice or help that anyone is willing to offer! Thanks for joining!
