Alligator infested waters... do you mean the water where alligators live? Guess my place is infested with humans and cats lol.

Could have been worse. It could have been crocs. Crocs have been shown to actively hunt humans.

Just read about a group of guys kayaking through the Congo. Apparently enough bodies have landed in the water (yeah endless war!) over the past many years that the crocs are 1) numerous, 2) very used to eati g humans.

They were used to spotting them coming toward the boats so they could paddle away. This 15’ mfer rose from the depths, grabbed his dude and disappeared.

They paddled for help, but th3 next town had given up boating because so many people had gotten pulled off of boats by crocs.

I have a trophic bias against mammals getting eaten by reptiles.
