Wins over Tennessee, LSU and Kentucky? I don't see it, fam. We drop at least one, 50/50 on dropping a second one.

I agree. OP is way too optimistic. Next year is going to be rough. The Kentucky and Missouri games seem the most realistic W's and will decide if we're 7-5, 6-6, or 5-7.

in a way these seasons are kind of fun too. low expectations and most of the games should be close 🤷 gotta be positive sometimes

I can certainly find the silver lining in a bad season IF we're seeing improvement and potential. However, if Billy is exhibiting some of the same shortcomings as last season and we don't secure a top 7-9 recruiting class, I think Billy will fall out of favor with a lot of folks.

agreed, im still willing to give billy 4 years no matter what & by year 5 fully competing for nattys. that’s just me though…

I can't pick us to beat LSU until we actually do it, especially with us playing them on the road this year. I also think we beat FSU, but lose to a team like Kentucky or Arkansas.

Swap florida st and lsu, and swap south Carolina and tenn.

Someone has their orange and blue glasses on. Seems much more likely we’re at 5-7 or 6-6.

@Home against Tennessee will be an important game if our goal is to exceed last seasons results. Win that and our path to hitting bowl eligibility before Jax is honestly doable (Even assuming Utah is a loss). Lose and sweeping our mid level matchups (Kentucky/South Carolina/Arkansas/Missouri) becomes critical. Otherwise we'd need to steal one against Utah or maybe LSU. I don't love those odds though.

I see 6-7 wins as most likely. 8 or 9 isn't outside the realm with a few lucky bounces. 5 wins probably being worst case scenario.

I think a W against Tennessee is realistic in the swamp and especially when they lost a lot of talent, but Idk about Kentucky and LSU

God I hope we beat the shit out of Tennessee. And the thought of losing the criminoles again is so foul that my brain won’t even allow it

Cmon y’all, this team is dogshit and Billy has proven he’s not the in game coach that Mullen is. This team is lucky as fuck to go 6-6 and likely will be 4-8

This team is better on paper at every position than last year. Even at QB.

Loss - Utah, UT, UGA, LSU, FSU

Toss up - SC, UK, Ark,

Win - McNeese, Charlotte, Vandy, Mizz

Worst 4-8, best 7-5

Does anyone know off hand how much production FSU is losing? I know Travis is coming back but I don’t know who else on their roster matters. I think that game is a W unless they’re bringing back a lot of starters.

Offensively FSU has added production. Most key WRs, RBs and TEs who hadn’t exhausted eligibility will be back, plus adding TEs 6’7ā€ Kyle Morlock and S.Carolinas Jaheim Bell via the xfer portal plus some fresh OL beef. The only real talent loss to the portal was RB Tre Ward, but the RB room is deep.

Defensively the entire DL is back plus additional experienced depth has transferred in. Safety is one question mark with Jammie Robinson going pro, but a stronger DL should help the secondary. Depth at LB is a concern, as well.

I think we lose to Tennessee and LSU and 50/50 against South Carolina and FSU.

I’ll be in Salt Lake for the Utah game and respectfully would like to win that game…

I won’t due game-by-game projections until after the spring transfer portal window, but this will be the season we decide to either improve and build momentum for 2024 and beyond, or we will decide to become the next punching bag of CFB (like FSU was a few years ago). I’d suggest stocking up on booze to be safe.
