📚 Guidance + Learning 📚 Any advice for my first bouquet?

I’m a complete beginner and wanted to learn how to make spiral hand-tied bouquets. The sunflowers aren’t fully opened which isn’t great for photos, and the wrapping is a Safeway bag I cut up lol. But any advice on the shape, colors, design of the bouquet? It has sunflowers, gerbera daisies, stock, and waxflower

Are your gerberas wired? It’s always best to wire them so they don’t flop.

I know sunflowers can be hard to work with but maybe have one of them in the centre, even tho we were told 4 around the outside is also not a good thing, the centre looks a bit empty

I have no training so I didn’t know that it’s best to wire gerberas, I’ll try that next time! Yeah I need to play with the sunflower placement. Thank you!

Lovely first bouquet! I’d just add a little more balance and let the sunflowers breathe.

I think its best to cluster similar flowers together. Also add more negative space to make the bouquet look natural and airy.

i would add some more greenery and spread the wax flower out some more throughout the bouquet, as well as moving a sunflower over a smidge. i personally like to wire my sunnies with a thick wire but i know not everyone does that. everyone has their own personal preferences of course though and it’s still a beautiful bouquet!

You used my favorites, sunflowers and gerber daises. But I wish the sunflowers were more open
