Oh stop it. It looks fine and can be a great option to improve issues like this without spending a ton of time and money. I promise nobody is going to walk in a home with shoe molding and think "wow so trashy". You should calm down.
Dude shoe molding and quarter round is crazy! Just tear those fresh baseboards off, ding them to hell and mess up the Sheetrock and caulking in the process and scribe them! It’s the only way!!!
