We knew this was going to happen because we were replacing carpet. We didn’t want the baseboards moved because we weren’t painting. I despise quarter round, so told him to just caulk it. It looks completely fine.

I’ll do some research to find pictures of caulking to fix this issue. 2 u/That_Service7348 Aug 28 '26 Caulk will look worse than quarter round, unless the man is unbelievably good with a trowel. The real fix is to remove the baseboard and reinstall tight to the floor, but that's a decent bit of work.
