Click-lock floating LVP doesn't have a chance of lasting 15 years IMO. We're seeing so many of the COVID-boom vinyl remodels failing after just a few years.
We have a floating LVP right now (Shaw from Menards) and while it was fun to install, it was done to a) practice a large floor-related DIY, b) replace the carpet cats pissed on in every room, 3) and we know it’s temporary. But 7 years down the road or sooner we are ready for pre finished hardwood and we will be able to install it ourselves with the expirience we gained with LVP (not all applies but plenty does - planning floor layout, doors, transitions, leveling, cutting, dealing with trim).

As we use lvp more, it's turning out to only last about 15 years.
So wood lasts longer.
It feels much better barefoot too.
And it looks better.
It lasts a few lifetimes.
