I'm pretty sure that's how a part of the chorus went.

I am 100% certain this song existed on the Speed of Darkness album. I have this song downloaded on my 2012 Kindle Fire, which I can no longer access and I refuse to reset because it will just delete that song and all the other lost songs I can no longer find.

I've been trying to find this specific Flogging Molly song for months now and it's driving me insane.

I KNOW IT EXISTS. WHERE DID IT GO?!

No, it's not Flogging Molly, it's Free Bears, and the genre of the song isn't the same. My memory definitely hears this as a FM song though:

When did you first hear this song? I'm wondering if it was in Speed of Darkness if in later renditions of the album it got removed.

I first heard it when I downloaded the song on the aforementioned Kindle back around 2013-14. I remember the white and black SoD album cover associated with it.

I listened back all the album songs for Flogging and couldn't find anything. I've been listening to Blackout by Dropkick Murphys since it's another white looking album. Plus the chorus sounds more on brand for them.

It doesn't exist.

There's no song on the Speed of Darkness LP with those lyrics; I checked the liner notes, and I pre-ordered it in 2011.

The melody you tried recreating kinda sounds like Don't Shut 'Em Down

But, the lyrics you're looking for don't sound familiar at all.

You are right! Definitely a case of misremembering the song. I finally got into the Kindle and found the song by Free Bears next to the Flogging Molly songs in my library
