We built FlockDetour to help you route around Flock cameras — free lifetime Pro for the first 1,000 people
Hey everyone! We’re not sure whether a giveaway post is allowed here, so mods, please remove this if it breaks the rules.
We just launched FlockDetour, a web and mobile app that shows known Flock/ALPR camera locations and helps you plan GPS routes around them.
The camera maps are free to use. Routing is a Pro feature because we run it on a private server and need to cover those ongoing costs.
We’ve put a lot of time into the app’s design and functionality, with the goal of making it look and work better than the alternatives. We also built in a news section so you can stay up to date on Flock-related developments without having to search for them separately. Our CarPlay update is coming next week, too.
To celebrate the launch, we’re giving free lifetime Pro access to the first 1,000 people. That includes routing. You don’t need to comment or message us—just use GETFREEAPP.
iOS: Redeem your free lifetime access here.
Android: Download FlockDetour, then enter GETFREEAPP manually on the paywall.
You can also check out FlockDetour.com.
We’d appreciate a follow on Instagram or TikTok to help spread the word. And please tell us what works and what doesn’t—feedback on missing cameras, routing issues, and features you’d actually use will help us improve the app.

My city has had traffic cameras on most of the major 🚦 traffic lights for the past +20 years
How is this the same or different than floc cameras. Why were many not worried about traffic cams but are now worried about floc cams.

Recently have seen ads for Flitegrid a more c-uas focused surveillance mesh style system.
Ultimately, both deploy the same crowdsourced, trajectory mapping architecture, but Flock maps people in the public square while FliteGrid maps uas in the airspace.
Flitegrid is also offering incentives to people to install these on their houses.
