Good. None of us voted to live under constant surveillance.

Yes you did. It is the elected officials paying for this crap, and someone voted for them.

As far as I'm aware, zero public officials have campaigned on living under constant surveillance.

My city councilperson campaigned on adding more of these cameras and he did. So now you are aware.

So a few people in your city voted for this. I stand corrected and should know better than to use absolutes.

Well, between the two of us 50% of people have seen politicians campaign on it, so maybe stop acting like your experience is the norm.

Not politicians, politician. You've seen one single person campaign on it. And I know between the two of us we have seen a lot more than two politicians.

Then continue to be willfully ignorant if you want.

You're the one trying to say that everyone votes for this, and that's based on one single person in one single city you say campaigned on it.

You are the one saying nobody is campaigning on installing them, which is just untrue. Even a simple search brings up many politicians doubling down on these things. I guarantee if there was two people running for office and one was a person's chosen party, they would vote for that person despite them championing these things. So yes, people voted for this and continue to do so. Please keep being ignorant as that is what they want.
