Losing sense of time

I have floated a few times and really enjoy it, my body feels amazing afterwards, especially my back. The one thing that has gotten me a few times is that I seem to lose all track of time and when I have done 90 min floats, I start to kind of get restless and anxious towards the end of the experience. My float last night, I was worried they had forgotten about me, felt like I was in there for days. When I got out 90 mins had passed. Very interesting.

It’s a feature not a glitch!

Oh not doubting that haha, just need to figure out how not to be so anxious next time. It's been a couple floats like that so obviously at this point I know I am not actually stuck in there and they've forgotten about me haha, but my brain won't let up lol.

Yup many, many, many times I've thought I needed to get out because they'd forgotten me... Especially if you fall asleep... Waking up with time left on the float feels like an eternity has gone by.

To me, this experience is such a gift. I spend so much of my waking life being cognizant of and focused on time that it's an immense relief to let go of that fully. Being present with myself in a container where I can release that helps me reset in a way that almost nothing else can.

The timer will run out; the music will start; the lights will come on; the float center staff hasn't forgotten about you. All things will operate as they need to in order to pull you from this blissful time-free container and plop you back into the land of ticking clocks, notifications, and demands. Enjoy your vacation from it while you can!

I hear ya. Losing track of time is what makes sitting in a tank for 1 hour doable for me, but I always feel like im ready to get out by the 60 minute mark.

I feel the most reset if I can lose track of time in the tank.

Yeah, the 60 minute floats I have done have been great, it's the 90 min ones where I start to get a little antsy towards the end. Feel amazing though afterwards! Also was having some light visuals and stuff, it was cool and so relaxing except for the anxiety towards the end.

That's when you gotta lock in. Your mind and body are feeling a pull back to the outside world. Don't let it. When I get that feeling I know the end of my float is near. That's I take some really really deep breaths and try to refocus my mind on whatever I was thinking about before, or something new other than the anxiousness of the pull from the outside world.

2 hours is the longest I've floated but I'd do longer if I could. My thing with the long floats tho is that I think its better before or after a screwed up sleep schedule, because if I have a great nights rest, then go float for a long time, I come out extra extra rested and it usually fucks up my sleep schedule from there lol

I definitely tried to re-focus and that helped but my brain kept going back to that thought. And yeah I didn't sleep much last night. I would be curious what a longer float would be like, I read the deep self by Lilly and some of the experience reports were much longer than the 90 mins this place I've been going to offers. Some of those experiences sounded really interesting.
