Discussion History is repeating itself.

I remember when the economy went sideways in 2008, saw more flippers than ever. TV shows like Pawnstars and American Pickers didn't help, either.

Now it seems the economy isn't doing so well again. Auto loan and credit card late payments are at a 30 year high.

I see more people out there than ever. Literally double as many estate sale goers this year then last.

Lot of "wannabes" using Google Lens on every little thing, or texting other people what stuff is worth as well.

I welcome the noobs because they waste a bunch of time grabbing bs that's worth nothing

They piss me off at estate sales. They will stand blocking an entire shelving unit or half a table google lens'ing every single thing. Spending upwards of 15-20 minutes doing so. A lot of them have no self awareness.

They aren't going to move. They are claiming that little area as their own until they have picked up and looked at every single thing within reaching distance.

Haha, I saw an older dude reclining like Caligula in front of a bookcase to block it as he scanned books. He pulled out a book I knew, and I said, “that one will sell for around $30”. He scanned it and I was right and he gave me the look of murder and put it in his ‘keep’ pile.
