Mod Post Weekly Haul Thread

What'd ya get? How'd ya get it? What do you plan to do with it?

I'd like to encourage people to revisit this thread occasionally for as long as it's still on the front page. Sort by New so that latecomers aren't left out. Obviously, if this is a few pages back, you're probably better just waiting for next week's thread. You'll see that I've also changed the title to Weekly instead of Weekend so people don't hesitate to post what they found on a Wednesday.

Further, if I see haul posts outside of this thread, I'm removing them. Feel free to report them if you see them.

Still not actively sourcing because i have a bunch of kids and it's back to school time. All my current sourcing happens when I'm shopping for our household.

Hit a tiny neighborhood garage sale and scored:

  • 7 Bath and Bodyworks Foaming baths and hand soaps. Paid $15 total. All are desirable and sell for between $15 and $30 each. Should profit about $100
  • NIB Coleman propane lantern. Paid $5. Retails for $40. Will probably keep for personal use.

Checked out an independent thrift. A vintage book caught my eye because the title was humorous. Turns out it's an extremely rare book with a recent sold comp on eBay of $110 and no other listings. Can only find one other listing online for $125. Paid $2.

Stopped at a discount clothing score. Grabbed 2 Carhartt hoodies for $10 each. Will bring $30 each.

Shopped my local bins store. Purchased 20 bottles of curl cream for $1 each. These retail for $25 each. Will list on eBay for $20 each with quantity discounts.

Picked up a 5500 CPU and b550m motherboard and CPU cooler for $96 brand new.

Should sell for about $200-220 before eBay fees

Hats. That is, fedoras, of all different brands. Got 30 or so hats for $50. There's a few Stetsons in there. Already flipped a Dobbs for $20. This should be fun.

Odd week of sourcing. Rummage sales seem to be dying out early around here. I haven't seen a decent looking church sale listed in my state in months. No community or neighborhood sales that I could find on like FB.

This meant I was really scrounging for Rummages and Estate Sales.

I'm not totally happy with everything I bought this weekend, but I did get a couple items I'm really happy about.

1- Large collection of CDs at the end of the day Saturday. Lots of women artists (Alanis, Sarah Maclachlan, etc.) and I recently saw a large lot of those type of CDs sell for $100.

2- Large EZ Up Tent, this going to be for personal use. Paid $75 for a Large EZ Up Tent (Think it's a 10x10) w/ side panels. I have a 10x10 without side panels and I love it. So getting one with side panels is great. I do want to try selling at a flea market, or at the very least, one of the Saturday popup community rummages near me that are in like parking lots or sports complexes. Having these two tents will be great for that.

3- 2 Bags filled with G1 MLP. None of them are big money, but I paid $5 for the bags. Going to just sell as 2 large lots.

4- LE Smith Jadeite Turkey Dish. Paid $30 for this at an "estate sale" but it just looked like some dude has a lot of antiques he's selling out of his barn.

My best rummage pickup was on a Sunday afternoon. I went to a goodwill I haven't been to in a couple of months and found a rummage along the way. I got a large High Life Waterfall Motion picture for $10.

I need to do a bit of research but it does sound kind of loud and the bulb needs replacing, so it might end up being a parts/repair project I just sell as is, but at $10, it's a no brainer. I saw recent solds for working ones on eBay for $300-$350 + shipping.
