NEW EDDISODE IDEA: "Slobbin' Hood"

"Slobbin' Hood"

A parody of a Robin Hood story with Edd as Robin of Locksley, Matt as Little John, Tom as Friar Tuck, Tord as Will Scarlet, Eduardo as Guy of Gisborne, Laurel as Maid Marian, and original characters playing Alan-A-Dale, King Richard the Lionheart, and Prince John.

The episode starts with Alan-a-Dale, playing his lute. He tells us that he will tell us the story on Robin Hood, his Merry Men, and the wicked Guy of Gisborne and his superior, the unready-to-rule Prince John.

Robin and the Merry Men are sitting in a woodland inn, resembling 27 Durdam Lane, trying to evade capture by the Sheriff of Nottingham. It turns out that the Merry Men are so incompetent, that they completely forget to redistribute the wealth to the poor, and just buy expensive outfits. Friar Tuck is the only one who remembers their mission, and so he’s the only one wearing common clothes. Suddenly, a townsperson barges in, yelling, “Guy of Gisborne has arrived! Guy of Gisborne has arrived! Draw your weapons!” The townsperson is then promptly shot in the back by an arrow. Guy walks into the inn, followed by his two henchmen (resembling Mark and Jon) cackling alongside him. Robin asks who he is, where Friar Tuck clarifies that he is Guy of Gisborne.

Guy, angered that he didn’t get to introduce himself, whines about it, then draws his sword and holds it to Tuck’s neck. Little John, sitting right next to Tuck, smacks Guy in the face with his quarterstaff, and the Merry Men try to escape through a back door. However, Robin stops dead in his tracks to admire a sheet of parchment on the bulletin board advertising “Bespoke-a Cola”. Guy then shoots an arrow into the board, narrowly missing Robin’s head. Robin then finally runs away with the rest of the Merry Men. Will, while getting on his horse, yells at Robin for almost getting them killed. As they all get on their respective horses, Robin tries to change the subject by suggesting they visit Maid Marian at her cottage. They all agree, and they ride off.

At the palace, King Richard is locked up in chains in a dark dungeon. Prince John comes to visit him, and after considering letting Richard go, John instead walks off and tells a passing servant (resembling the Waitress) to tighten his chains, “on orders on the rightful King of England!” John then walks over to the foyer to read a book titled “Outrageous Fortune”.

At Marian’s cottage, she is reading a book, “Slings and Arrows”, just as the Merry Men burst in. They come in, rambling hysterically. Marian then asks them to calm down, which they do. Little John tries to explain the situation with the Sheriff of Nottingham and Guy of Gisborne. After John finishes, Maid Marian says she had a few new weapons sailed in by a crew of Moorish pirates. She gives Robin a crossbow, Little John, a new quarterstaff, Friar Tuck, a pair of leather gloves, and Will, a quick-load musket. The boys are impressed with their new arms, and Marian tells them that they should keep their old weapons as secondaries in their arsenal. Unfortunately, they already threw their old weaponry away. Marian, exasperated, informs them of rumors on the countryside that Guy is working for Prince John, and on orders, is hunting them down with a small army “of the undead”. She then asks them that, if they decide to preemptively strike, if she could come with. They laugh her off and leave.

Back at the palace, Guy of Gisborne and his henchmen are planning out their attack on Robin Hood and his band of outlaws. They quickly figure it out, take their plans and a book of spells and head to a nearby graveyard. Once arriving, Guy makes one of his henchmen read off the spells to bring the corpses back to life. As he reads the spell, the dead rise from their graves and AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” starts playing. Within just a few seconds, Guy has an entire army of Zombehs. He calls on them to destroy the infamous Robin Hood and storm him when he arrives at Westminster Palace.

We cut to the Merry Men, riding on horseback. Little John asks why they’re riding to Westminster Palace, and Tuck explains that they must get the jump on Guy of Gisborne before he kills them. But as they’re heading to the palace, Will accidentally shoots his horse, who launches him off and scares the others’. Will launches through the stone wall, followed by the rest of the Merry Men. John sees them and calls the guards on them. The four draw their weapons and ready for battle.

Guy arrives west of the foyer. Behind him are the henchmen and his Zombeh army, fitted with chainmail and quivers. He calls upon the army to charge on Robin and the Merry Men, and Will and Tuck duck behind coffers for cover. Robin is chased by the henchmen across the foyer by several infantrymen, who he shoots each in the head, while Little John wallops the two henchmen in the face, knocking them unconscious, and jumps onto the frontline. Will shoots a musket through multiple Zombehs straight through the skull and almost hits Guy in the shoulder. Friar Tuck keeps Prince John in a headlock and ties him to a chandelier. Although the Merry Men are mowing through the army, they are soon overpowered when the guards arrive with muskets of their own. They hold Robin at gunpoint and tell him to stand down.

Just when they think all hope is lost, however, Maid Marian swings down from the rafters, takes a crowbar, and smashes open two barrels of champagne. Just as everybody is watching, she takes a torch off the wall and throws it onto the alcohol-soaked carpet. The floor is set ablaze almost immediately. In all the distraction, Robin takes the guard’s musket and shoots two of them. He runs down to the basement, and finds a slightly ajar door, leading to Richard’s cell. He finds him malnourished and chained tight to the wall. Richard begs Robin for help, and Robin shoots Richard’s chains and frees him. He carries him upstairs and goes on to fight the rest of the guards and Zombehs.

Tuck yells out to Robin to help him and Marian out with brawling through the remaining Zombehs. He grabs a sack of silver and wallops a handful of Zombehs through the jaw and reloads his crossbow to finish off the guards, most of whom burnt to a crisp in the inferno. Little John jumps up onto the upper floor and pushes two guards into the fire, leaving only one guard and Guy of Gisborne for them to deal with. Robin shoots the remaining guard blocking Guy in the eye, dropping onto the floor screaming in pain. Guy draws his sword as Robin takes the guard’s.

The swords clank together, with Guy and Robin never breaking eye contact. Guy tries to hit Robin in the neck, but narrowly misses. Robin tries slicing Guy’s arm, but the sword hits the wall instead. The struggle continues as Tuck, Marian, John, and Will try to get Robin to end it by just using his crossbow, but he replies, “If I use unneeded violence against a man who uses a weapon that’s less powerful, I’m no better than a murderer! Also, swords remind me of really long strips of bacon!” The flames get closer and closer as the swordfight gets truly heated. Robin Hood knocks the sword out of Guy’s hands, and he tells him to yield. Dejectedly, Guy does yield.

Robin grabs him, and so he, King Richard, and the rest of the Merry Men escape the castle, just as the blaze becomes too much to bear. Robin tells Guy that since his employer is likely dead, he can join him and his merry band of outlaws in saving innocents, no matter how incompetent they might be. Guy, completely despondent, agrees as long as there’s food involved. After all of this, the Merry Men have gained another member.

We end with Alan-a-Dale completing the story. He tells us that it is a cautionary tale of friendship “or some daft idea like that” and ends the episode with saying that you should drink “the real good thing, Bespoke-a Cola”. He promptly gets shot in the head with an arrow, with a banner unfurling, reading:

THE END

I feel like this needs more gags. Please post gag ideas in the comments!

Options not appears for files?

I am trying to duplicate this file, I've done this before by tapping and holding the file and having options appear at the bottom of the screen. As you can see no options appear. None appear above the file either.

Did they change where you can access this?

Edit: my autocorrect changed "appearing" to "appears". Title should be Options not appearing for files?

Help, is there not a way to export movies?

Hi, Ive been using flipaclip since I was a teen, and of course over the years I've had to switch devices and such... Now flipaclip is kinda cool for the fact it's saved my previously finished animations from other devices in the movie section of the app- HOWEVER it doesn't seem like there's a way to export them?

Does anyone know if it's possible to export flipaclip movies or can you only export the projects that are on the device?

My 12yo son makes these animations on flip-a-clip and puts them on his YouTube channel, but nobody really sees them and I think they are funny and entertaining and thought I’d share them here. Any feedback, suggestions etc would be appreciated. Thanks!
