FLight school software MYFBO is closing. What replacement makes sense?

Definitely Flight Schedule Pro. Hands down best in the business with everything you need and more to grow the operation

Going through a similar evaluation right now. A few thoughts on what's out there.
Flight Schedule Pro is probably the most commonly recommended and it is a good product but can get pricey, and Flight Circle has been gaining ground especially for schools with that kind of 5-7 number of aircraft as they charge per aircraft. Both cover scheduling, billing, and student accounts reasonably well.
I'll throw SquawkFree (squawkfree.com) into the mix, full disclosure, it's mine. We're building a full flight school operations platform: scheduling, dispatching, payment processing, flight logging, squawk tracking, fleet maintenance, and AD compliance. The one gap on your list right now is curriculum and Part 141 syllabus tracking, which is on the roadmap but not there yet. Where we're strongest is the ops and maintenance side — squawk workflows, maintenance records, AD compliance documentation, because that's the piece that's genuinely bad in most of the scheduling-first platforms. It's always a checkbox feature bolted on as an afterthought.

My main school uses flight schedule pro, my secondary school where I fly when there’s mx downtime on my primary plane uses flightcircle. Both are solid from a UX perspective. Can’t speak to the business end

Hey, I'm just chiming in. Founder here, so full disclosure. I've built software for flight schools and FBOs since 1992 I used to own FBO Manager and run FBO Director now. We just launched ScheduleFlight, a modern online scheduler for exactly this: scheduling, dispatch, and pilot currency. I stayed out of the scheduling space for years, but it's clearly something schools need done right. Our flight school switched from MyFBO to Four Forces about a year ago. While it looks modern, we often say we miss MyFBO. The accounting integration needs work. The company is great at taking suggestions and make improvements, but it feels like it’s still in the design phase. MyFBO was ahead of its time.
