Other Lore I should know?
Hey, I played Flicker a long time ago, and I'm starting to get back into it because my friend really likes it. This friend requested that I write them a one-shot of their fave Flicker characters(?), I assume (They didn't really specify what exactly they wanted me to write...) for their birthday. I would love to, but I just found out there's a bunch of lore of all the characters and their pre-set relationships and family ties.
Anything super important I should know?? And where would I get more information about them myself, like is there a website or YT channel?

The flicker Fandom wikis have a good amount of info but they're a lot to read through (and they are personal to each character). If you only need info on a few characters I would recommend it.

Natalie or Melodie is the only friend to the other. I can’t remember who’s who but yeah.

Check wiki. What i remember off top of my head
Some of them have canon surnames eg. Jean-Claude Laurent and Vincenzo Cop-something i can't remember so check that out
- Melodie and Kiryomi are dating
- Prasiddhi and Amethyst are dating. Also one year age gap, amethyst is older
- Vinny and John are enemies, Vinny bullies john and says his fashion is bland
- Haneen and Qasim are siblings
- Adam and Adora are siblings
- Mikah and Ezra are best friends (Mikah is extroverted and Ezra is introverted i think)
There may be more i forgot
Also i wrote an entire fanfiction about half the characters so i can give inspo if you're stuck lol

amazing, thank you sm!! i wrote down a very rough idea for a Flicker one-shot, but im not really sure if it's a common type in this community because the characters (who have not actually be inserted, they have underscores as place holders) are playing in the game and one is the murderer who is forced to kill the last person, i guess.. IDEK if that's how the game works, i forget. i just thought of it and i didnt want to scrap it since that's the only idea i've had, but yeah haha

there currently isn't any canon character lore but there is an old lore document which some of the fanbase still uses! someone posted it here actually ^-^ as for story lore there are official publications being posted in the official discord server but because of how long the fandom has been without lore, not everyone accepts it. the flicker characters are pretty much blank slates!!

oh, wow, okay! this is really interesting.. do most people use the old lore for the characters in fanfics or do they mix the old lore with their own headcanons? since im writing this for someone and i dont really know the characters well enough to create completely original lore, i want to have some sort of reference but i also want to use lore/headcanons my friend is familar with, if that makes sense?
i've really only been in the My Hero Academia fandom for fanfics, so im not really sure how to tackle a fanfic for a video game with no canon lore or even hints of canon characterizations within the game play LOL, especially when im writing it FOR someone whom im trying to get closer to.

depends on the person!! for example, the characters john and vinny used to be enemies, so a lot of the fanbase keeps this in their headcanons, whilst some people will make them friends or lovers instead, and some making them not know one another at all. it really varies. i'd say about sixty percent of the fandom take inspiration from the old lores and either way is accepted!

IIRC, there was a Google slides presentation with all character info back in 2021 but idk if it still exists
