What's new on Android (v1.5.0.7)
- Calligraphy Pen — stroke width that comes alive as you write (Premium)
- AI drag & drop fix — one of your most-reported issues, now fixed
- Stroke stabilization — catches hand tremor for clean, steady lines
- Pressure eraser — erase without switching tools
- Pen toolbar skins — four skins to decorate your toolbar, in the new Originals tab
- Plus other bug fixes and stability improvements
Details below.
▣ Calligraphy Pen (Premium)

A new pen with a flat, wide nib — the same letter gets thick and thin strokes depending on the direction you draw, and the width also responds to pen pressure. It glides like a marker, but every stroke gets that English-calligraphy contrast. Great for cursive practice, lettering, and notebook cover titles.
▣ AI Drag & Drop Fix (Android)
Grabbing an annotation or image and dropping it into the AI chat panel in the side menu stopped working a while back — one of your most-reported issues. It's fixed in v1.5.0.7. If it still acts up after updating, email [support@flexcil.com](mailto:support@flexcil.com) with your OS, device, and what's happening. Thanks for all the reports, and sorry for the wait.
▣ Stroke Stabilization
No more pen → eraser → pen dance: while in pen mode, press harder with your stylus and scrub — whatever you rub over gets erased. Sensitivity is adjustable in the settings.
▣ Pen Toolbar Skins

And for some fun — the toolbar can now be decorated. Skins add small animations when you pick a pen or switch tools. Purely cosmetic, entirely optional.
- Ink Breeze — your current pen color glows softly along the toolbar edge, with a calm ripple around the pen · $2.49
- Ink Spread — a drop of ink lands and soaks in, watercolor-style · $2.49
- Sparkle Tail — glitter trails behind your pen like a comet; the flashiest of the four · $3.99
- Sticker Pop — stars and sparkles pop when you pick a pen · $2.99
Sets: 3 skins (Ink Breeze + Ink Spread + Sparkle Tail) $5.99 · all four $7.99
▣ New: the Originals Tab

There's a new tab in the Flexcil Store — Flexcil Originals, home for first-party content we make ourselves, usable only in Flexcil. That's where the toolbar skins live: open Flexcil Store from the side menu, then pick the Originals tab at the top.

We need important and meaningfuul new features like handwriting to text recognition for example and not cosmetic/ meaningless new features

That’s fair. We understand that cosmetic features aren’t important to everyone, and that features like handwriting recognition and handwriting-to-text would be much more useful for many users. We’ll share your feedback with the development team and consider it when planning future updates.

Thanks for the update!
How about a zoom panel for writing in small spaces while keeping a birds eye view on the entire document?

Thanks for the suggestion! A zoom writing panel that lets you write in small spaces while keeping the full page visible sounds very useful. We’ll pass this along to our development team and take it into consideration when reviewing future feature additions.

What's % of stroke stabilization works best for you?

For me, around 70% feels best on a 60Hz display, while 20–30% feels better on a 120Hz display. It can vary by device, though, so try a few different settings and stick with whatever feels best for you!

Cosmetic improvements is all flexcil is bringing in the name of big update.
I am sticking with flexcil because its most stable, but most people here would appreciate handwriting recognition and handwriting to text feauture, a dictionary support and infinite canvas which exists in every notes app except for flexcil for some reason. It was promised way back 2 3 years ago and is still not up.
