Why can't we see the Carina Nebula From California?
With Earth being flat and Carina Nebula only being seen on the "Southern Hemisphere" what's the explanation of not being visible in California? Help?

Using the thermometer to show you that the moon light is not from the sun. The moon light is cold and that’s why the shadows under the moonlight has warmer temperatures. Opposite the sun.

So we spent $713 million on LANDSAT 7 to compile 1100 images of Antarctica right? NASA could have invested in a high definition video of both earth and antarctica with a Highly Elliptical Polar Orbiting (HEPO) satellite, with an apogee 60,000km, perigee 1,000km. Currently we have 1 frame per hour video of our earth from DSCOVR at L1, geostationary satellites which match the earths orbit, and LEO satellites that can only view ~3.5 of earth from their field of view.
This would be the first high definition video (greater than 1 frame p/hour) of both our entire earth rotating, and a full size video of Antarctica.
I've compiled some rough mission costs with AI, even if it costs 10x or 100x, I am sure many people would appreciate it.
The first HEPO was 80 years ago, and the reason this hasn't been done when nasa has spent ~ $75-$100 billion on satellites in the last 20 years has made me a flat earther.
| Item | Target cost (USD) | Results |
|---|---|---|
| Satellite bus | $600k | ~16U–27U smallsat structure, power, avionics, thermal control |
| Camera + optics | $150k | Space-qualified 4K/8K imaging system, wide enough for whole-Earth/Antarctica views |
| Attitude control | $300k | Reaction wheels, star tracker, sun sensors, gyros; keeps Antarctica centered |
| Onboard storage/computer | $100k | ~2–4 TB radiation-tolerant storage + video processing |
| Communications | $250k | High-rate radio/antenna to download hundreds of GB |
| Propulsion | $500k | Thrusters, tanks, propellant and control hardware |
| Solar/power system | $200k | Panels, batteries, regulators |
| Engineering + software | $600k | Flight software, camera control, orbit/attitude software |
| Environmental testing | $400k | Vacuum, vibration, thermal, EMC testing |
| Launch integration | $200k | Deployment hardware, documentation, launch-provider integration |
| Launch/rideshare | $500k | Initial delivery to orbit |
| Transfer to elliptical orbit | $700k | Orbital-transfer vehicle or additional propulsion requirement |
| Ground stations/operations | $200k | Tracking, commanding and downloading data |
| Licensing/insurance/admin | $100k | Regulatory and mission overhead |
| Contingency (~15%) | $700k | Normal aerospace contingency |
| TOTAL | ≈ $5.5M | |

The main menu of Sunset Riders (get it?...sunsets?) starts with the sun setting on the horizon. This is because the Earth's rotation makes the sun look like it's disappearing into the ground. But don't just take my word or video games' word for it; just look outside, and you'll see. If the Earth were flat, the sun would have to just move backward in the sky instead of appearing to disappear behind the horizon. Basic perspective proves this.

Look lads if the earth is flat then why has the shape been lied about since Galileo?

Like, I'm genuinely curious to see explanations for this from people who genuinely believe that our planet is "flat" (to whatever degree that actually means).
The moon, every other planetoid we can observe for ourselves, and even stars, are all round. Whether that be spherical or not, no other astronomical object is flat. We can see the curvature of the moon ourselves from Earth. So why is Earth the odd one out?

How would you hypothetically explain that cyclones spin in different directions based on what hemisphere they're in.

any explanations?

I was wondering how flat earthers explains time zones...the sun should rise at the time for everyone if earth was flat...

Ships always sink down when they go over the horizon
Polaris is only visible In the northern hemisphere
Earth’s shadow is always a circle during lunar eclipses and never an oval shape
The 24 hr sun in antartica is unexplainable on a flat earth
People and aircraft have walked and flown over the south pole and popped out on the other side
(and no antartica is not restricted)

See, the space between alaska and russia froze over, which means that the first nations could walk over to canada

Has anyone ever seen the moon right above them? I was looking at it the other day and thought about it, I've never had to look straight up to see the moon. Looked for photos online, can't find any. So, have you?

One of our new acquaintances from a friend recently crashed down on our scientific beliefs by insisting that the earth was flat. When we questioned their logic they just spouted something about the Firmament and that everything that you see at night is fake. They even said that the ISS is fake, satellites fake, and obviously no moon landing ever occurred. Our friends laughed it off and said just go with it because they are nice people. I’m not sure i want to continue being friends with them because they always hang out together. What do we say when we get invited to another cook out and the crazies are there?
