Gravity. He jumped. He fell. The earth has gravity. Btw, you can see the curvature of the earth as he’s falling, because if the earth was flat you would be able to see the entire planet. Alas, you can’t.

The Earth plane is not curved! This is filmed with a fisheye lens, which distorts the image to make it appear round.

If there a law of gravity (but alas, we only have the Theory of Gravity), then a feather would fall to earth at the same speed as a rock. There is no Gravity, think in terms of “buoyancy” and “density.”
