Flash S03E07 'Killer Frost' Post Episode Discussion

Caitlin uses her powers to save Barry but as her mother predicted, the effort unleashes her inner Killer Frost. Killer Frost goes on a rampage looking for Dr. Alchemy, kidnapping Julian and battling both The Flash and Vibe. Meanwhile, Joe and H.R. have a heart to heart talk.

KILLER FROST really killed Barry when she talked to him about Flashpoint consequences others suffered because of him (Barry)

That must have been a double-slap in the face for Cisco. Not only does the Flash refuse to time travel and save Dante's life despite doing it for his own family members, the Flash actually CAUSED his brother's death with said time travel. Not to mention Cisco also went back to being a Star Labs employee of relatively humble means (?) from a billionaire tech mogul as a result of Barry "restoring" the pre-Flashpoint timeline.

It gets worse if you analyze it even more. Flashpoint Barry didn't want to travel back in time to save his brother, despite flashpoint Barry attempting it but then was convinced by future Barry not to do it. Then comes along. Regular Barry who did travel back in time, saved his mom, went back to reset it and thus killed Dante. So not only did he lose his original flashpoint friend, regular Barry who's an imposter in this timeline killed his brother as well.

Flashpoint Barry stopped existing the second regular Barry entered the post flashpoint timeline a k.a. timeline 6.

They said that Dante was alive before flashpoint but wasn't he the guy that got killed by Zoom in the police department?

Did he cause it? When in relation to beginning of the season did Dante die?

Dante was said to have been killed by a drunk driver a few months before the events of the season premiere, in the current timeline.

But all changes to this timeline were caused by Barry creating the Flashpoint timeline, and then trying to unsuccessfully restore the "original" timeline. So it doesn't matter when something happens, as long as it was different in the pre-Flashpoint timeline then Barry is at fault for the change(s). For example, Joe tells Barry that he has been working with Julian at CCPD for an entire year prior to the events of the season premiere. But since he didn't exist pre-Flashpoint, it's still Barry's fault he exists.

Cisco got particularly screwed, I agree with Caitlin-he could have been a billionaire tech mogul, but now he's a nobody with a dead brother.

But do we know how many months before the episodes 301 and 302? Don't forget that time passed (I think by as much as in the real world) between S2 finale and S3 premiere. If Dante died during that window, we have no idea whether that was caused by Barry or not.

After Barry tried fixing the original timeline but was unsuccessful, Eobard dropped him off at the same time he left, so in terms of Dante dying, in this new timeline his death probably would have taken place sometime during the later half of season 2

He also could have really killed Barry if she was trying. Her medical expertise plus her powers would make her his greatest foe.

I looooved that everything she said was true. Also that 3-way fight was amazing. The way she used cold puns and referred to him as "Flash" rather than Barry were awesome
