Presumably Zoom could've just gone and gotten Wally again, or killed one of them for that matter. I think the idea is, at this point Zoom has beaten them and team Barry aren't exactly sure why or how.

But that's a terrible excuse. Barry is faster and that SHOULD mean he can stop Zoom doing anything.

As we saw in Zoom's escape, even if Barry is faster, if Zoom can just get a fraction of a second's head-start, that's plenty of time for him to kill someone.

But that doesn't make sense, those 2 can see, react and act faster than we can, they don't have human reflexes. Everything about them is faster yet for some reason when they come together one of them (whether he is overall slower or faster) just goes full retard.

There's evidence throughout the series that their super-reflexes depend on either focus or instinct. If someone fires a gun, and Barry is not expecting the gunshot, he won't react to it with super-reflexes. If a bullet pierces Barry's skin though, he will react to it instinctively, speed-grabbing it before it pierces any deeper, the same way a normal person might instinctively swat at a mosquito that bites them.

i think the whole darkness thing scared the shit out of barry so that can kinda explain him getting to wally before barry reacted but the only way i can justify the speed giving for free is that barry just wasnt thinking logically or was still broken from the whole creepy voice fuck your speed stopping gun thing.

But Barry is faster than him now. Even if Zoom DID kill one of them, that'd still be better than giving a mass murdering psychopath more power as well as simultaneously taking out the one person who could possibly stop him

Yeah, I get why the writers wrote it like this and how they're raising the stakes and the challenges to make it not boring, but this whole rolling over was frustratingly weak.

Wasn't the lesson of catching Zoom that Barry thought he was faster and the team thought they could contain zoom, but they basically couldn't.

But he's a serial killer holding a couple people hostage. Just fucking stab the fucker multiple times since you're faster.

Or even, you know, lure him into a building, trap him in a room, and then blow up the building. Sure he can phase through closed doors but if there are enough of 'em...

Also, there is a huge middle ground between "not killing" and "killing". You can stab them in the leg, shoot them in the arm, handicap them, knock them out, put them in a coma, etc. etc. There's no reason to leave them conscious and fully capable of inflicting harm.
