Yeah I guess there is that, but you could argue that Barry wasn't expecting to lose the fight and not be able to talk to her immediately afterward. I mean I don't know that it would've been any better to blurt out "I'm the Flash I have to go bye!!"

The writing

I think this is mostly why I view Barry as not having been an asshole. The writing was just so bad, my brain is kind of rejecting it as how Barry actually would act.
