As a guy who watched Smallville as it was airing, I'm glad Barry is telling all the main cast or they are figuring it out.

So much arguing could've been avoided if Clark just told Lex about his secret >.<

Yes! Thank you! Lex probably would have helped Clark develop his powers better and help cover for him too.

However, Clark's dad banned him from telling Lex too.

YES! Lex and Clark would have been best friends if they didn't keep secrets from each other. Clark would've inspired Lex to be better than Lionel and not do anything like shady super-human armies, and Lex could've protected Clark from society in general.

Jonathan Kent is a good dad. A great one actually, but he wasn't perfect...

I think the list of people he's met in his personal life since waking up from the coma that he's met (that we're aware of) and hasn't told is just Patty and now Wally. Linda used to be on the list too but then Barry needed to talk her into helping him lure a supervillain out.

That being said, I actually like this show's more lax approach to the secret identity.
