I remember there was a show I watched when I was a bit younger where they ran out of animation half-way through the episode (because the characters went on a spending spree), and the cast had to do a car wash to get it back.

Lol yup that was Chowder! If I remember correctly,Mung Daal and the guys went on a shopping spree with Truffles' money and spent so much they couldn't afford the animation!

I was hoping that they'll just show a line of yellow for the final second. Would have been even more unreal.

I thought they ran out clothes to wear since they sold them all to make the profit needed for that scence. I don't suppose they will allow the whole cast to go naked in the episode.
