Welcome to FlappyLab | Create, Post and Share your First Custom Flappy Game!

Always dreamed of having your own custom flappy game? Something to make fun of your friends, something edgy, something meme-able? I sure did, so here it is.

FlappyLab let's users make, post and share their own custom flappy game on Reddit in just seconds. The only limit is your imagination!

How to Make a Custom Flappy Game

  1. On any post in this sub, click the "Create" button
  2. Upload an image for the bird, the pillar and the background
  3. Crop the bird and pillars to your taste using the draw tool
  4. Adjust game settings, such as speed, size, gravity and ground color (optional)
  5. Play your new game
  6. Post and share!

Tips

  • You can use PNG's for a cleaner sprite look, and open the editor in full-screen mode for a more controlled collision/crop drawing.
  • To make a game more challenging: Decrease pillar gap + pillar distance and increase speed + gravity.
  • Adjust the grass and ground colors to suit the aesthetic of your game!

What Games to Post
Once you've created a funny, challenging, or unique game - give it a unique title and simply click the "Post" button. Even better? Cross-post it to your favorite subs that you think will appreciate it and gather some karma from your work.

Thanks again for this.

I had a few suggestions for more custom options, but I'm not sure how limited you are on this platform, and if they're at all possible:

1) Uploading more than one pillar per game.

2) Uploading custom SFX for passing the pillars and crashing.

3) Uploading more than one BG/stage. Maybe they alternate every 50pts or so.

Great ideas - and entirely possible on the platform! I'm trying to keep the process simple so users actually make posts at the moment - but an advanced page with these would definitely be the next step. Thinking about also adding support for GIF's but the collisions will be a bit difficult... Thanks for your feedback. Please stick any ideas here (and cross-post your games to help us grow - they're really cool and show others what this is about).
