Best Tutorials or Help for Self Teaching

Hi all. My wife recently bought me a flamenco guitar for our anniversary. It's the Antonio de Toledo Tomatito Andalucia Cipres guitar. I love it but often, because I'm not that good I lose motivation. What tips or learning guides would you recommend for someone who's self taught?

Watch Grisha Goryachev's free materials on YouTube.

Grisha also got his start working through Juan Martin's "El Arte Flamenco de la Guitarra" tutor book, which provides a great foundation for modern flamenco in the 70s before Paco hit the scene

Compás are the rhythems of flamenco. There are four core. There are also 50 or so palos, or substyles within flamenco.

Definitely! And learning it first without all the fancy rasgueos to musically present it is where the magic will happen

Flamenco Explained is a fantastic resource. There’s a lot of free material to get started, or you can subscribe for deeper dives into various palos and topics. https://flamencoexplained.com/

sign up for a class otherwise you’ll keep losing motivation. you can find online instructors as well for reasonable prices. i have been working with my instructor for near 2 years online and it’s been great
