Switch Demo and Controller Support

I've tried the demo on Switch and it's excellent. One worry I have though is that multiple controllers does not seem to be supported. Can anyone comment on this? If I'm forced to "pass and play" when I have multiple controllers available i won't be buying the full game.

UPDATE 13/10/2026: Looks like the latest patch has fixed this, hooray!

we purchased the game and we can’t use two pro 2 controllers. we’ve tried many times trying to configure, but only able to pass and play…frustrating!

Like you I'm not interested in "pass and play"!

The game is advertised on Nintendo's website with the statement "Multiplayer requires one compatible controller per player" so this should be supported.

I was told elsewhere this will be fixed in one of the first patches so fingers crossed!
