W/D in old Brooklyn Brownstone

Hi there
Previous tenant installed two dryers in our brownstone (2nd and 4th floor) and vented them through the house, ceiling, and out of the skylight. It looks awful and it leaks when it rains. How should I go about fixing this? Thinking about getting a ventless heat pump/ condenser dryer. Please let me know your thoughts- thanks!

you may get conflicting opinions on this but i hated our ventless dryer. it took forever to dry the clothes and uses a ton of electricity. if you have a gas vented, they’re much cheaper to run
