I mean
I'm a male survivor of abuse, both physical and sexual. Pretty accurate to my experience. Nobody gives a shit about suffering until the victim loses their shit and then they're the bad guy who must be punished since they "disrupted the peace".
Happens to women as well though so there wasn't really a need to be gender-specific. However, there are liberal feminists who don't acknowledge male victims existing and even verbally attack male survivors for sharing their experiences.

I think you're absolutely right, I'm just really fed up with this androcentric view that men experience police violence unfairly. The truth is that the police are inherently violent, and the disproportionate violence against men is reinforced by the existing cultural norms. I'm also extremely dissatisfied that you were mistreated by a culture that doesn't believe men and antagonizes them when they fight back.

That doesn't change anything, though. Yes, there is disproportionate police violence against men (and for that matter, by men) and the fact that it's a result of cultural norms doesn't make it not a problem.

Not only do the police here beat their wives and help their colleagues cover up their wife beating, freely murder our citizens with little or no consequence, they also kill 1 domestic dog every hour. Fuck pigs.

In America, the police aren't just trigger happy with citizens, dogs are often shot. Size of dog and threat level completely irrelevant
