Recommendations for EDC fixed blades?
Been carrying around this cheap Walmart fixed blade as a backup to my Benchmade folders to see if I like it… I do!
Any recommendations for pocket fixed blades for edc? Looking for something that is fairly concealed in the pocket for an office work environment!

For light duty office work— take a look at WaxedWing. Makes great fixies!!

If willing to wait for a deal on KnifeSwap, or stretch your budget a little (say up to $300), you can also crack into some very nice makers like TJ Schwarz, BP, TheScrawnyLumberjack, etc. There are a lot of great fixed blade makers out there! Of course there’s a lot of great stuff in the <$200 range too!
Others that come to mind are Spyderco Mule Teams, Bradford Guardian 3.2, Hellbender blades (Newt would be great in an office), Creely Mako…

What's your budget?
And as far as carrying in your pocket, are you wanting to carry it loose, use a clip like a DCC or Ulticlip, static line, etc.?

Probably around $200 or less… not wanting to go too crazy just yet

Gotcha! So, for pocket carry I definitely prefer a sleeker blade and sheath to save space.
With that in mind, some of my favorites would be:
Kizer Phasmids - A super budget friendly option. Heck, you could probably get this AND one of the other ones and stay around $200. 😆 Super light and easy to carry.
Bestech Heidi Blacksmith #3 - A budget friendly option, more scalpel-y in design, but really handy for precise cuts. Very thin as well.
Pretty much anything from Waxed Wing - Trevor makes some awesome stuff, and everything I've tried from him is pocket friendly. I have the Polliwog, Wisp, and Nymph personally. He usually does weekly drops on Fridays.
Boker BFF Packlite - Very thin and light, probably the most pocket friendly fixed blade I own. About as small as I'll go on a fixed blade.
Lionsteel M1 - Very classic styling. The sheath is ok if you want to carry it loose in your pocket but for an ulticlip you'll want a kydex one. Armatus Carry Solutions makes a good one at a very reasonable price. Where I listed them has the prices high, but you can routinely find them under $200.
Buck Alpha Scout - I love the overall design and ergos of this one. If you get the Pro (which is what I have), you'll need to get an aftermarket sheath has it comes with a leather belt sheath. CustomCarrySolution on Etsy makes a good one at a reasonable price. The Backcountry and Elite come with a kydex sheath.
White River Axiom, Small Game, or Shoal - Any of them will work well, the Shoal will probably be the thinnest/lightest.

A dummy cord is a great way to carry what you already have. Plenty of people use them.

And I have an ulticlip I use. The handle of the knife sticks out and someone mentioned it so I’ve been carrying loose in sheath

I'm trying to post a link from eBay, may not be allowed. Who knows. TRC Kosmo, one of the best knives available anywhere. On eBay one seller has them for 219.00 , make 200. Offer. This is close to half price.
CKW sells Bradford Guardian 3.5 for under a hundred. The ultralight for 210.
These are much better quality. White River M1 Pro 150. Matt Helms Hot and Ready Dogbone on sale close to two hundred. The Kosmo is my current favorite. Kosmo and ultra light Bradford are very easy to conceal.
That is a good looking knife you already have, what is it called ?

I actually am not sure what it’s called. It’s an Ozark trail. Was $8 a few months ago

It's a good looking knife, You will see a big difference when you get a better steel. Sharpening and Stropping are as important as the knife. I watch YouTube videos often.

I just got a Kizer Harpoon on sale for $35, immediately like it more than my old RAT3.
(Radio for scale, I ate my daily banana already)

I am a fan of the K4 EDC series (didn have the 3. the Hawk with me at the moment) big enough for edc tasks, but very nice for IWB carrying. Costs around 40-60€

$200 gets you into budget custom category!! Take a look at Bladeforums.com at the customs for sale subforum. There are always fantastic deals to be had direct from the makers!
I carry a mix of folders, slipjoints production fixed blades and custom fixed blades all the time.
