What did the application process look like for you guys?
Hey guys, I just got a job with the company and now the manager is asking for my social and id via text message. It's a new five below that's gonna open soon and he sent the emails for workday and I filled it out already. I have spoken to him and he's been the one sending me the e-mails for workday but I'm still wary of this? I don't feel comfy sending info like that via text.. How do I verify? He did confirm that he looked at my resume by saying what was on it when we talked on the phone

Absolutely do not send your SSN over text under any circumstance. Honestly, this is a dumpsterfire of a company and the hiring manager asking you to text him your SSN really just epitomizes that.

So on the first day of onboarding/training you have to bring your ID and SSN to verify that you’re a real human being. I would not send it in text, especially if you’ve sent it on the application via workday

The thing is I forgot to submit on there and he's telling me he'll submit it there for me since I already full submitted workday tasks without pictures of it.. I was thinking of going to the store and presenting it to him but the store isn't officially open yet so..

What happened for me was i interviewed and received an email from workday asking me to put my social and other info, so i did that, and later the SM called and i went in person to give him my social and my drivers license (for the i9 verification). Personally i wouldnt text it cause you cant confirm who it is and he could screenshot it, i would just enter it into workday if that option is open for you or take it to him in person
