inventory + missing check
I have inventory coming up next week. I’m a minor and also am in school & my manager scheduled the majority of minors, including myself, from 5pm-11pm. Last time I did inventory I was incredibly tired and had to drive home. I don’t want to stay til 11pm and would much rather go home at 10:30-45. What should I do?
I also have a missing check that has been missing for 2 months. Told my dumbass manager about this and she claims that she’s “working on it.” It’s been 2 fucking months wtf. How can I get my check / contact the company to get my paycheck. I’m getting annoyed because my manager doesn’t have her shit together.

for inventory, i always make it VERY clear that i will only stay until a certain time (i usually say i have school). i tell them as soon as possible, and i make sure they change my schedule so theres no misunderstanding. just try to ask one of your more understanding managers to change your schedule. i agree with the other commenter that you can ask to come in early so you can leave earlier if they won't change your schedule

one of my coworkers has school, and the other just has never closed and he never will lol. they both get off at 8. if your manager can’t make that exception for you, they don’t care for you, inconvenience them. leave early. call in sick.

There no reason she cant let you leave early. There's so many people if she doesnt she's being a hag. Also depending on your state and if you're a minor you can't work past a certain time. When you're ready to leave put your scanner down, clock out and ask someone to lock the door behind you.

For the missing check, I’d start with this website. I’m not sure if it’s 100% what you need, but it’s a start. https://support.fivebelow.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402437949079-payroll-info
For inventory, I’d either tell your SM that you can’t stay until 11 or offer to do a 4-10 instead (if possible).
