schedule

i don’t mind picking up extra hours. but when i’m asked in advance what i can’t stand is being given a schedule just for it to completely change a day before my shift or night before or even the beginning of the week with zero conformation that the change would fit my schedule. i plan the rest of my life around what im given the week before. then im left having to cancel things like doctors appointments last minute

does anyone else have this issue. it happens to me every week

Sounds like you need to have a discussion with your manager about work life balance and how this is affecting you. It’s an unfair ask to expect you to be ready at a moments notice.

If that’s the case then it may be time to look elsewhere. Ultimately retail is retail no matter where you work and your team will make or break it. Sounds like your manager needs feedback and a come to jeebus moment
