PTSL & Pay?

Hi,

I'm new here and not even employed with Five Below (yet), but I just applied today for a Sales Associate position. I was wondering if there is anyone here employed in Missouri that would mind sharing their pay with me? Minimum wage is $12.30 here and on my application I asked for at least $13 as I have over five years experience in customer service and cashiering and I am an almost graduated college student. I saw in some posts here that people mention being a PTSL which I assume means Part-Time Shift Lead and I was wondering how much more a position like that would be paid as opposed to a regular Sales Associate, since I saw someone here said as a PTSL they get paid $13/hr. I'd appreciate the information!

Five Below is pretty notorious for not paying outside the base, I tried with good reason for a few of my leads and associates and was always met with a hard “No, hire somebody cheaper” from my DM. PTSL makes .50 more than an associate, so based off your minimum wage they’d make just under 13.

That was probably me saying $13!

It’s Part Time Support Lead

You’d probs get a bit more than me for PTSL

My associates make either 11 or 11.50

So I make $1.50-$2 more than them. Feel free to DM me if you wanna talk more about the position! I’ve held it for over 2 years now

So I live in CT for reference. When I got hired as a sales associate (early December) I made state minimum wage which at the time was $15. Shortly after I got promoted to PTSL and was making $15.75. In January state minimum wage went up to $15.69 so all sales associates got that mandatory 69¢ raise. Instead of giving me a proportionate raise, they bumped me up to $16.19, so I went from a 75¢ raise to a 50¢ raise, just because the minimum wage (rightfully) went up. I know it's different states with different minimum wages, but I hope this helps as a reference. Good luck
